It is very convenient to have a multicooker at home, because in addition to roasts and baked dishes, you can cook main courses in it. Let's look at the recipe for a very hearty dish, pea soup with smoked meats.

Peas contain vegetable protein, vitamins (a group of low molecular weight organic compounds of relatively simple structure and varied chemical nature) and minerals that our body needs. It makes a rich and nutritious soup, and thanks to the smoked ribs, it also turns out to be indescribably fragrant.

The freshest herbs and sour cream are added just before serving.

To speed up production, dry peas are soaked in cool water for several hours. The dish is prepared with homemade or prepared broth from chicken, turkey, pork or beef, but dietary soup with water is equally flavored.

Meatballs, pieces of chicken, meat or ham, and various smoked meats will be a good addition.

Spicy vegetables impart an extraordinary taste: parsley, celery, coriander. No special spices are required; usually only salt, dark pepper and bay leaf are added to the soup.

Pour vegetable oil into the multicooker bowl. It is best to use refined.

I grate the carrots on a large grater and finely chop the onion. Cook in the “fry” mode for 7-10 minutes. Open the lid from time to time and stir so as not to burn.

Then I immediately add smoked pork ribs. If you have them very large, chop them smaller so that they fit in the slow cooker without any problems.

The next step is peas. There are 2 methods; you can soak it in advance, preferably at night (that is, in the dark) . But I like another option: I buy half-peas, they can be cooked right away, skipping the soaking step.

Fill with water: bottled or filtered. Volume 1.5-2 liters.

I immediately lay out the potatoes. I cut it into cubes and put it in the slow cooker.

I turn on the “soup” mode and cook for 1 hour. The dish comes out indescribably fragrant, aromatic and savory.

The soup can be prepared in a regular slow cooker or in a pressure cooker. The dish cooks faster under pressure. Before removing the lid, you need to release the steam, and then leave the soup for 5-7 minutes to make it tastier.

Using the “Fry” mode, fry the carrots and onions for 5-7 minutes, stirring from time to time.

Add smoked ribs, cut (or chopped) into small pieces, into the bowl.

Fry the ribs with vegetables for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Wash the peas well in cool water.

Cut the potatoes into cubes and place them together with the washed peas in the multicooker bowl.

Pour hot water into the bowl up to the “Max” mark (approximately 2.5 liters). Close the multicooker lid.

Set the “Soup” mode (in my multicooker this mode lasts 40 minutes).

At the signal from the multicooker, open the lid, add salt, spices and bay leaf, stir, close the lid and leave for 10-20 minutes on the “Heating” mode.

This wonderful, fragrant and very tasty pea soup, prepared with smoked ribs in a slow cooker, came out and was served hot.

Ingredients:

  • Potatoes – 400 g
  • Carrots – 220 g
  • Onion – 200 g
  • Pork ribs – 400 g smoked
  • Sausage – 120 g smoked
  • Sausage – 100 g smoked
  • Sunflower oil – 30 g

Place chopped smoked meats (not including ribs), grated carrots and chopped onions on the bottom. Fry for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally with a wooden spatula.

Carefully wash the peas until the water becomes clear.

Peel and wash the potatoes. Cut into small pieces.

Add peas, potato slices, and smoked ribs to the fried ingredients for the soup in the multicooker bowl.

Pour water, either cool or preferably hot. Cover tightly with a lid. Set the “stew/beans” mode for 1 hour. If you like chunks of peas in your soup, 40 minutes is plenty.

You can set it for 1.5 hours to make it thicker. What’s so good about pea soup in a slow cooker is that you can adjust the cooking time to suit your own taste. If you like completely boiled peas, then leave the “heating” mode after the “stewing” mode for several hours.

At the end of the program, you need to release the steam by opening the lid. Taste the pea soup and adjust to your liking. You can add bay leaves, ground dark and aromatic pepper, thyme or other herbs. If necessary, add salt.
