Using a coffee grinder, we obtain bran flour and mix all the products, not counting cottage cheese and cinnamon. We use them to make a filling, which can also be slightly sweetened.

Now we will prepare pancakes from bran, or more precisely from wheat bran. Although we conventionally called them pancakes, they are more like pancakes or even cutlets. Bran dishes are a source of fiber for our body; they contain vitamins (a group of low molecular weight organic compounds of relatively simple structure and varied chemical nature) A, E, B, microelements that improve the normal functioning of the intestinal tract and other fundamental functions of the body.
So bran pancakes can safely be called a healthy product. We also recommend preparing equally healthy oatmeal pancakes and buckwheat pancakes.

Bran pancakes

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • Wheat bran – 2 cups;
  • Semolina – 1 ⁄ 2 cups;
  • Flour – 2 tbsp. spoons;
  • Drink – 1 glass;
  • Soda – 1 ⁄ 4 tsp. spoons;
  • Lemon juice ;
  • Salt – 1 ⁄ 2 tsp. spoons;
  • Seasoning Asafoetida – 1/2 tsp. spoons;
  • Olive oil - 2 - 3 tbsp. spoons

Pour the wheat bran with kefir (at room temperature) and let it stand for about fifteen minutes so that the bran swells.
Then add semolina and flour, mix well.
Quench the soda with lemon juice and add to the dough. Salt the dough and add asafoetida seasoning.
We previously talked about this seasoning for us, but I’ll repeat it slightly. Asafoetida imparts a pleasant garlic-onion smell to dishes. After adding asafoetida, it seems that onions were added to the pancakes, but in fact they were not used in making them. Mix the bran dough again and fry the pancakes.
Heat a frying pan, pour in vegetable oil, I prefer to use olive oil for frying.
Using a tablespoon or your hands, form small cakes and fry on both sides, approximately four minutes on each side.
Bran pancakes fry very quickly. Place bran pancakes on a plate, decorate with herbs and serve.
These pancakes are delicious both hot and cool.
We recommend eating bran pancakes with sour cream or serving different salads with pancakes. Production time – 25 minutes.
