If you like making canapés, check out the canapé recipe. I used some ideas for my own recipe.

I usually prepare such vegetable canapés for children at home - usually, they are not particularly ecstatic about healthy food in the form of boiled vegetables, but in the form of unique canapés they eat everything in an instant!

Preparing vegetable canapés

Ingredients for four servings

  • Potatoes - 2-3 pcs.
  • Frozen peas - 100 g (canned or fresh)
  • Beetroot - 1 pc.
  • Radishes - 2-3 pcs.
  • Hard cheese - 100 g
  • Spices - To taste
  • Flour - To taste (how much puree will take)

Manufacturing steps

First, let's prepare the ingredients. Boil the potatoes and mash them as usual. (Here I have even more puree than we need). We will also boil the beets and cool them.

2. Now sprinkle the surface with flour, and carefully mix the flour into the puree with your hands until you get a plastic “dough”. Salt and pepper to taste. Add frozen peas here (so they won’t be flattened with a rolling pin), and with a rolling pin we make a layer of dough half a centimeter wide.

3. I make these round canapés using a kinder egg. Sprinkle any round piece with a little flour.

4. Use the same method to cut out circles of cheese, boiled beets and radishes. String in random order, pierce with a skewer and decorate to taste. You can serve!

I would like to say that this simple recipe for vegetable canapés seems to have been created for children! After all, the finished canapés look great, are eaten quickly and with pleasure, and are also very useful! Although, of course, you can improve this recipe for making vegetable canapés - in the summer, I think, circles of fried eggplant and fresh tomatoes on such a “pillow” of mashed potatoes will look unsurpassed. In a word, do not limit your imagination in anything!

Not long ago I tried canapés with olives. I recommend! Maybe someone will need it.

Canapés on skewers - ordinary recipes with photos

The French invented a tiny sandwich and called it “canapé”, which means tiny in French. This kind of sandwich is really small, it usually consists of a small piece of bread or cracker, and some tasty content is placed on top.

Another meaning of the word canape is “small sofa,” which also corresponds to the appearance of the sandwich. A piece of bread can completely pass for a sofa, on which sits a tasty interior consisting of several ingredients.

There are a huge number of options for different entrails that can be prepared. Any cook adds something of his own to the recipes for such appetizers. And anyone who prepares canapés can fully show their imagination and come up with their own variation.

Appearing for the first time at buffets and corporate events as an overseas guest, canapés quickly moved to home ceremonial tables. Nowadays, almost everyone makes canapés at home to decorate holidays, be it New Year's Eve, anniversary, March 8th. After all, this is not only a good snack, but also a beautiful table decoration.

It is quite easy to prepare such an appetizer as canapés on skewers, and you can find recipes worthy of attention everywhere. After looking at some recipes with photos, you can prepare literally the same snacks or slightly change them to suit your own taste. Canapes with herring - simple and delicious

We all know that potatoes, bread, herring, eggs are a beautiful combination that almost all people adore. If you season all this with mayonnaise, grain mustard and olive oil, you will get the height of perfection.

Therefore, you can safely use them for this snack. And you can put a sprig of parsley on top of a small sandwich. It will look great and just begs to be put into your mouth. We present for you a more common recipe for canapés with herring.

Prepare all the necessary ingredients, specifically:

  • herring fillet – 1 pc.,
  • potato tubers – 2 pcs.,
  • testicle – 1-2 pcs.,
  • sliced pieces of Borodino bread,
  • salt,
  • parsley sprigs,
  • mayonnaise – 50 g,
  • olive oil – 1 tablespoon,
  • mustard – 1 tablespoon.
  1. It is necessary to boil the potatoes and eggs and wait until they have completely cooled down. Only after this will it be possible to work with them, specifically cut them into circles. You will later place these circles on the canapes.
  2. You will need to prepare a base for your filling. To do this, you need to cut Borodino bread into small pieces the size of halves of potatoes and eggs. To make sandwiches melt in your mouth, it is better to cut off the crusts from the bread. Then the bread needs to be dried in the oven or fried in a large amount of oil (olive or butter).
  3. Now you can start cutting the herring. If there are bones in the fillet, they will need to be removed. Cut the herring into small pieces so that you can easily place them on the bread.
  4. Now it's time to make the sauce that will give the canapes the best taste. Take mayonnaise, olive oil, mustard and mix everything well.
  5. After all this, all you have to do is put the whole sandwich together. Add the filling in the following order: potatoes, eggs, herring. The 1st and 2nd layers can be additionally salted and spread with dressing. Place the dressing sauce on top. Well, like the cherry on the cake, in our case there will be a sprig of parsley that will decorate this delicacy.
  6. Place all the sandwiches on a beautiful plate, garnish with herbs, pierce them with skewers and serve, your guests will appreciate this appetizer!
