  1. Dried apricots and raisins must be poured with warm water for 10 minutes, after which the dried fruits must be thoroughly washed under running cool water.
  2. Place dried fruits in a saucepan, add water and sugar, stir.
  3. Place the pan on the fire, bring the water to a boil, then cook the dried apricot compote for about 5 minutes.

Recipe 3: Compote of dried apricots and prunes

This compote comes out very fragrant thanks to the subtle note of smoke from the prunes.

Required ingredients:

  • Dried apricots 200 gr
  • Prunes 100 gr
  • Purified water 2.5 liters
  • Sugar to taste

Manufacturing method:

  1. Pour hot water over the dried apricots and prunes for 10 minutes, then drain it and wash the dried fruits under running water. Cut any dried fruit in half and place in a saucepan.
  2. Pour clean water over the dried fruits, add sugar and stir.

Recipe 4: Compote of dried apricots and apples

You can use both fresh and dry apples. The recipe uses the freshest fruits.

  • Sweet apple 1 medium size
  • Fresh dried apricots 250 gr
  • Sugar to taste
  • Purified water 2.5 liters

Manufacturing method:

  1. Wash the apple and cut into small squares.
  2. Pour warm water over the dried apricots and leave for 10 minutes. Then wash the dried apricots again under cool water.
  3. Place the ingredients in a saucepan, add sugar and add water.
  4. Place the pan on the fire, bring to a boil and then cook the compote of dried apricots and apples for about 5 minutes.

Recipe 5: Compote of dried apricots with ginger

Places where dried fruits are sold also sell candied ginger. This is a typical delicacy with a “hot” taste; it is an excellent remedy for colds and respiratory diseases. Why not cook dried apricot compote with candied ginger? Enjoy the drink both hot and cold.

Required ingredients:

  • Candied ginger 100 gr
  • Dried apricots 200 gr
  • Cinnamon
  • Sugar to taste
  • Purified water 2.5 liters

Manufacturing method:

  1. Cut the ginger into thin strips.
  2. Wash the dried apricots a couple of times, and then cut each piece in half.
  3. Place the ingredients in a saucepan, add sugar and add water. Put it on fire.
  4. When the water in the pan boils, reduce the heat, add a little cinnamon to the pan and cover with a lid. In 5 minutes, the compote of dried apricots and ginger will be ready.
