Ingredients:
- 1.5 kg cabbage
- 600-700 gr. pork pulp
- 300 gr. dry rice
- 450 ml. water
- 1 PC. carrot
- 1 PC. onion
- 3 tbsp. tomato paste + 250 ml. water
- salt and spices to taste
- 3-4 tbsp. vegetable oil
How to cook lazy cabbage rolls in a saucepan:
Boil the rice in advance until tender: mix 300 g. dry rice and 450 ml. cool water in a saucepan, bring to a boil. We wait until the rice absorbs all the water, then remove it from the heat.
To cook lazy cabbage rolls in a saucepan, let's first deal with the meat. For the recipe for lazy cabbage rolls, I used pork pulp with a layer of fat, but you can use any meat that you like. Cut the meat into not very large pieces, approximately 1.5 * 1.5 cm.
Grate the carrots on a coarse grater and cut the onion into cubes.
Shred the cabbage with a knife or using a special grater. Next, add a little salt to the cabbage and crush it with your hands.
Pour vegetable oil into a saucepan with a thick bottom, heat it to maximum and pour in all the cooked meat. At this step, actively stir the pork with a spatula so that it is moderately fried and does not stick to the bottom of the pan.
Fry the pork until golden brown.
Then add the cooked onions and carrots. Stir, cover the pan with a lid, and simmer until the vegetables become soft.
Next is the turn of the main character of our very lazy cabbage rolls: cabbage. Add the shredded cabbage to the pan with the meat, stir, cover and simmer over low heat for about 20 minutes.
Dilute tomato paste with water.
Then add it to the pan with cabbage and meat. Mix our very lazy cabbage rolls well and bring to a boil. At this step you can add salt and pepper to our dish.
Lastly, add the boiled rice to the pan, mix again, cover with a lid and cook for no more than 5 minutes.
