Benefits for the body

The distinctive component of the current salad is cheese, the beneficial characteristics of which are widely known because they are based on a wide range of:

  • minerals - calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, phosphorus, iodine, selenium, copper;
  • vitamins – groups B, C, D, E, PP, F;
  • amino acids – tryptophan, lysine, methionine.

Other components are also not far behind. They, in their own way, benefit our body:

  • fish – rich in amino acids, vitamins and microelements;
  • egg - protein and minerals (details in the article “On the dangers and benefits of chicken eggs”;
  • potatoes and carrots - vitamins and fiber (details in the articles “What are the benefits of carrots” and “Useful characteristics of potatoes”);
  • onions – with the highest antibacterial qualities (details in the article “What are the benefits of onions”);
  • mayonnaise - the highest nutritional value and fatty acids.

From the above we conclude that our current dish is very healthy - if, of course, you don’t overeat. Remember that Mimosa is a high-calorie dish, and be in moderation!

Other recipes

  • Traditional recipe

The traditional Mimosa recipe is very simple to prepare, but it turns out very tasty. We don’t add anything unnecessary to the soft, tender salad, we just decorate it with sprigs of dill and egg yolks to create a festive mood. The yellow-green color will remind us that Spring is just around the corner.

This option looks very nice when cut. Snow-white shaggy rice will make the dish soft and rich. You just have to change the order of laying out the layers and place the rice first. You don’t have to put in the potatoes, but we’ll put in more fish, cheese, butter and yolks. If you don’t want to use a lot of mayonnaise, add grated butter; it will perfectly formulate the ingredients and add fat.

  • With tuna

The layers in this version look very nice. Prepare a dish with canned tuna. This fish itself is quite tasty and will add an unusual flavor note. To make the dish less greasy, you can use light mayonnaise. Choose according to your taste yourself, but remember that all the ingredients must be of good quality for it to turn out really tasty.

  • With smoked pink salmon

Mimosa with smoked pink salmon is a dish worthy of admiration. We definitely prepare this option with potatoes and add butter, which harmonizes perfectly with smoked fish. This option is not at all economical, so we try to create it as best and as attractive as possible. Be sure to prepare Mimosa with smoked pink salmon for your festive table; your guests will definitely appreciate it.

  • With butter

Mimosa with butter is very tasty! Prepare the dish in portions and serve to anyone in bowls. Your guests, snacking on such a rich, fatty salad, will stay “in shape” much longer. The butter must be frozen in advance and grated on a small grater right before serving. In this version, instead of yolks, sprinkle everything on top with grated butter and do not crush it to preserve the feeling of airiness. And be sure to add some greenery to enhance the presentation.

Useful tips

  1. Boil the vegetables in advance to make them easier to peel and grate. If you don’t have this ability, place hot vegetables in cool water, this will allow them to cool faster.
  2. To make the salad even softer and airier, do not crush the layers.
  3. To ensure that the edges of the salad are even and perfect, roll the culinary ring around and carefully remove.
  4. Mimosa can be prepared with melted cheese.
  5. So that all the ingredients are properly saturated with mayonnaise and all the layers have time to exchange flavors, put the salad in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  6. The layers can be created thinner and repeated twice.
  7. Mimosa does not necessarily need to be collected in a culinary ring. You can put it in a deep bowl, a transparent salad bowl, or serve it in portions in bowls or glasses with a thick bottom.
  8. You can change almost everything in this salad. For example, replace mayonnaise with yogurt or salted curd mass. You can also experiment with canned fish or completely replace fish with chicken or mushrooms.
  9. Mimosa comes with salted canned food and salted mayonnaise, but from time to time you should still add salt to the food so that it does not seem too bland.

Conclusion

We have discussed in detail how to prepare various versions of Mimosa. Particular attention was paid to the cheese dish. For this we used Russian cheese, but other types of cheese are also suitable. These can be either hard or processed cheeses. In any version, a dish with the addition of cheese only benefits, becoming even softer, more tender and richer.

Step-by-step recipe with photos

This salad recipe is firmly in the top 10 of the most necessary appetizers. It looks great on a formal table, you can prepare it for any event or simply because you are bored. All the necessary products for making Mimosa salad with cheese and butter are practically always on hand.

Let's start with preparing the goods.

Boil the eggs. After the water boils, cook them for 10 minutes, then drain the water and cool in cool water.

Divide the eggs into yolks and whites.

Grate the yolks separately and the whites separately.

Finely chop the onion. If you want to have juicy and crispy onions in your salad, fill them with ice water; if you prefer soft ones, then fill them with hot water. After 5-10 minutes, drain the water and dry the onion on a cardboard towel.

Grate hard cheese on a medium grater.

Drain excess liquid from the canned food and mash the fish with a fork. If the fish mass is not juicy enough, add liquid and stir.

Lay the salad in layers. The controversial question is what to post and why in the right “Mimosa”? Don’t stress about this, the only indispensable condition here is that the top layer should be made from egg yolks. For every housewife, Mimosa turns out wonderful.

Mimosa salad with butter and cheese can be placed in a ring, or without it. The first layer I use is egg whites, apply a mayonnaise mesh on them, and sprinkle with grated cheese on top. Cheese enhances the taste of the salad.

Then lay out a layer of fish mass, apply a mayonnaise mesh, sprinkle chopped onions on top and lightly tamp with a spoon, just a little.

Mimosa salad with cheese according to ordinary and delicious traditional recipes with photos

Mimosa salad is a dish that we often see on a festive table, be it New Year's Eve or a birthday. It seems to me that it occupies a leading position among the favorite salads. After all, it is not only cheap, but also delicious. And it serves as a good appetizer for any feast.

Plain Traditional Mimosa Recipe with Cheese and Butter

My ancestors always made this recipe for some holiday. After all, nothing had been invented with the ingredients before. Grated cool butter was always present in the salad, but at the moment they are trying to remove it and replace it with another product due to its fat content. So I decided to tell you about a real salad, which was like in childhood.

Mimosa salad is prepared in different ways. Some take special molds so that the dish is even and perfect, while others trim plastic bottles. You and I will create it in a regular salad bowl. And for mimosa it is better to use homemade eggs. They are the most yellowish and look like a mimosa flower.

Ingredients:

  • Butter—60 gr.;
  • Cheese—150 gr.;
  • Canned food - 1 can;
  • Carrots—1 pc.;
  • Mayonnaise - 3 tbsp. spoons.
  • Onion - half a head;
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon;
  • Sugar - 2 teaspoons;
  • Vinegar 6% - 1 tbsp. spoon.

1. First, let's peel and cut the onion. We cut it very finely.

2. Place the chopped pieces into a cup and add salt, sugar, and vinegar. Pour hot water over everything, making sure to stir.

3. While our onions are marinating for 10 - 15 minutes, do the following: grate the cheese on a large grater.

4. Clean and grate the eggs. Divide them into yolk and white.

5. Cook and peel the carrots.

6. Take the fish out of the can and mash it with a fork.

7. Our onions are already pickled.

If you want the onions to be crispy, after they have been marinated in boiling water, wash them under cool water.

9. Now let's assemble our salad. First, put the eggs (whites) in the salad bowl.

10. Rub two layers of butter on a large grater.

11. Add 3 layers of cheese.

12. Grease our salad with mayonnaise.

13. Layer 4 on top with onions.

By the way, if you want our dish to be without bitterness, constantly pickle the onions, do not add fresh ones.

14. Place fish on top of the onion. This will be layer 5.

15. Take and cover everything with mayonnaise.

16. Sprinkle the 6th layer with our boiled carrots, top with mayonnaise, but more.

17. We try to coat the entire salad.

18. Well, the final layer will be the yolk.

I think we have a tasty salad, but I don’t recommend eating it right away. Let it sit in the refrigerator and soak.

A very tasty recipe for mimosa with cheese and pink salmon

We will prepare this extraordinary salad from the freshest pink salmon, and not from canned salmon. Because this taste will be even more noble.

It looks very nice on a formal table and will be a good appetizer for your guests. It will be better if you place your dish on the table in a transparent salad bowl so that the layers are visible. And, if anyone has a sprig of mimosa, put it on top of the salad, this will give it originality.

We will need:

  • Small fresh pink salmon—1 pc.:
  • Testicles—6 pcs.;
  • Cheese—350 gr.;
  • Mayonnaise - for coating the layer to taste;
  • Onion—1 pc.;
  • Potatoes—3 pcs.;
  • Carrots—3 pcs.

1. First, cook and peel the potatoes and carrots, but do not overcook them, otherwise it will turn out like porridge.

2. Clean the pink salmon from scales and throw out the tail and head. Let's put it in the microwave to bake.

3. Boil and peel the eggs, separating them into yolk and white. Don’t overcook it either, otherwise the core will be dark. Everything that came out was small.

4. The pink salmon is already baked, let it cool. Remove the bones and mash into small pieces.

5. Grate hard cheese.

6. Marinate the onions. See how it is marinated above.

7. Well, now we’ve reached the very top – we’ll collect the layers.

Place grated potatoes in a salad bowl and coat with mayonnaise. But we put out only half of the potatoes.

Next, add the carrots and level everything out.

Now half the fish and also smear everything.

Place cheese on top and coat.

Next add pickled onions.

Place the remaining potatoes, pink salmon on top and spread mayonnaise.

We pour the white into our salad, and on top for decoration the yolk and branches of greenery. You can decorate it like I did.

The salad is ready, eat and enjoy the quality of production.
