Caramelized bananas are a good and fairly well-known delicacy, although we are more accustomed to using bananas raw. These bananas can be served as an independent dessert or used as a filling for donuts, rolls, and sponge cakes. Caramelized bananas can also be served with ice cream, pancakes, and pancakes.
Preparing such a delicacy is quite simple, although certain aspects should be taken into account here. So, for the dish you should choose fairly ripe, but at the same time hard bananas so that during caramelization they do not turn into puree. For the same purpose, bananas should not be cut into very thin pieces. The best thickness for banana slices is 1.5 centimeters. You need to caramelize such bananas in a thick-walled frying pan not for very long, and at the same time carefully turn the pieces to the other side.
By taking these aspects into account, you will end up with careful, savory pieces of caramelized bananas.
How to cook “Caramelized Bananas” step by step with photos at home
For work we will need bananas, butter, sugar, water, cinnamon (optional).
Melt 50 grams of butter in a thick-walled frying pan.
Add 100 grams of sugar, stir and cook for a couple of minutes until the sugar melts and turns amber in color. Do not overcook the mixture so that the sugar does not burn.
Add 60 ml of bubbling water and stir until the sugar dissolves. The mixture will boil, so be careful.
Peel 4 bananas and cut into pieces 1.5 centimeters wide or cut in half horizontally. Place the bananas in a single layer into the boiling caramel.
Cook for 1.5-2 minutes on one side. Then turn it over to the second side, sprinkle with cinnamon (1 g) and cook for another 1.5-2 minutes on the other side.

Fried bananas in caramel – sound tempting? In fact, this is not a side dish, as it immediately seems, but a unique dessert, which was approved by everyone who tried it.
Total production time: 10 minutes

- – sweet sand (2 tablespoons);
- - mint leaf for decoration.
There are quite a few recipes for fried bananas: in flour, batter, sweet glaze, with cognac, etc. Now I offer the most common and frisky recipe for fried bananas in caramel. So, let's begin.
We cut the banana into pieces along an oblique strip, about 5 mm wide.
Melt butter in a frying pan, add sweet sand
and bring the mixture to a homogeneous composition.
Cut the bananas, place them in syrup and fry on the fire for 2 minutes on each side.

Hello, dear readers. The coming year of Monkeys forces us to think about the New Year's menu. But what can Monkey adore, of course, bananas. And I want something non-standard, solemn. You can cook fried bananas in caramel. They will be even more appropriate in a dessert than if we baked bananas with meat, for example.
Chopping them fresh into a salad is also common. Blend with milk and create a cocktail - not everyone in my family loves this. That’s why I decided to make just such a delicacy from bananas – everyone will like this sweetness. I was once treated to such a dessert, but I was not in ecstasy. They just cooked the bananas not to my liking.
The banana dessert on offer was simply covered in a sweet, light brown syrup. But for me, caramel is when it’s not just sweet in the mouth, but you can also chew something.
And now I’ll tell you how to fry bananas so that, in addition to the caramel, you get crispy candy balls. I also experimented with the taste and added lemon juice. So, I offer you my own recipe with a photo and 2 flavors.
Recipe for fried bananas in caramel
For New Year's dessert you will need:
- Bananas - 3 - 5 pieces.
- Sugar - 100 gr.
- Powder - 2 tbsp. spoons
- Oil - 30 gr.
- Lemon juice - 1 tbsp. spoon

Begin. Peel all fruits. Bananas for frying should be firm, maybe even slightly greenish. An overripe banana will instantly turn into porridge on fire.
Cut bananas into random shapes. I decided to cut some of the fruit into medium-thick slices, and cut some of the fruit lengthwise.
Melt powder and sugar in a frying pan. I love sweets, that’s why the amount of sugar is so huge, in the standard it can be reduced. Stir everything from time to time so that it melts faster and more evenly.
Add butter to almost melted and slightly browned sugar. Mix it quickly with sugar. It is at this step that the candy pieces appear.
When the butter melts and you get caramel, add some bananas to it. Fry the fruit until soft, pouring syrup over it. Be careful not to crush the delicate pieces of sweetness.
Carefully transfer the finished sweetness to a plate. Add lemon juice to the remaining caramel. I had a ready-made, rich one, but you can squeeze it out of the freshest lemon.
Place the remaining sliced bananas into the acidified caramel and fry them until tender, pouring the caramel over them and turning them over. They cook quickly, so you should be careful that nothing falls apart.
Place the finished fried bananas on a dish and let them cool. Caramelized, fried fruits have lost their natural color and look unattractive on an ordinary plate.
But if you put them on balls of creme brulee or creamy ice cream, you will get a real holiday for the kids.
