There are a huge number of different waffles: crispy waffles, soft ones, Hong Kong, Viennese, Dutch and, probably, a huge number of different types. Over time, recipes for different waffles will appear on the website. And now I would like to share with you the recipe for everyone’s favorite, homemade, savory and crispy waffles. You can prepare them using an electric waffle iron.

What is needed for production

  • Waffle iron;
  • Spoon or small ladle;
  • Wide bowl for kneading dough and insides;
  • Gloves;
  • Scales or a glass for measuring (I have 200 ml.).

Dough

  • 4 chicken eggs (

200 gr.);

  • 170 gr. sugar (1 glass);
  • 130 gr. flour (1 cup);
  • 100 gr. butter, fat content 82.5%.
  • Manufacturing process

    • In order to prepare the dough for crispy waffles, we need to melt the butter. This can be created in the microwave or on the stove. I prefer to melt the butter in the microwave, so it comes out quite quickly. But it is necessary to do this carefully, because... the oil does not have to boil. Therefore, you shouldn’t set the timer for a minute and leave the microwave, but it’s better to heat it for 10-20 seconds and check for readiness. Set the melted butter aside for now and let’s get on with preparing other items.
    • In a separate bowl, combine the eggs with sugar and lightly beat this mass with a whisk. There is no need to combine for a long time; it is enough for a homogeneous mass to emerge. Next, add the slightly cooled butter and whisk everything until the sugar is completely dissolved. Then sift the flour into the resulting mass and knead the dough.

    • The mass comes out quite thick, similar to condensed milk. Set the finished dough aside for now.

    • While the dough is “resting”, let’s prepare the waffle iron in which we will bake delicious, crispy waffles. To do this, I use an electronic waffle iron, so I’ll tell you how to prepare and bake waffles specifically in it. To prevent the waffles from sticking, first coat the surface with a small layer of vegetable oil. Then we plug the waffle iron into the outlet and wait for the indicator to light up and give us permission to bake waffles in it =) ATTENTION! If you are a child, then be sure to prepare waffles with adults, because... This may be unsafe for your health!

    Baking process

    • When the waffle iron is ready, we begin the baking process. I like small waffles better, so I use about 1 tablespoon of batter per waffle. You can adjust the amount of dough as you wish. The main thing is that there is no more dough than the waffle iron itself =) Close the upper part of the electric waffle iron and bake.

    • Repeatedly, the waffle iron can be opened and the degree of doneness inspected. Be careful, the waffle iron can emit very hot steam . Some electric waffle irons have the ability to select power. I prefer to bake at medium power, in my opinion, it’s easier to control the degree of doneness.

    • Next, remove the finished waffle from the waffle iron using a spatula. Unfortunately, it is difficult to find an electric waffle iron in which the waffle is fried moderately; usually, the result comes out as in the photo below. But this does not affect the taste and crispness of the waffles.

    • If you do not plan to roll the waffle, for example, into a tube, then obviously leave it on the plate and proceed to baking the next one.

    • And if you want to give the finished waffle some shape, then you need to do this immediately after removing it from the waffle iron. The waffles simply instantly harden and become brittle and brittle. Just be careful, the waffles are very hot! Therefore, it is better to “arm yourself” with clean gloves and work with waffles only while wearing them.

    • Ready waffles cool down quite quickly, so when you finish baking the last waffle, others will already be ready for your tea party.

    • In conclusion, I would like to once again remind you of how important it is to observe safety precautions when working with an electric waffle iron and the waffles themselves. All items are very hot! Therefore, in order not to discourage your desire to cook waffles and not to put cool things on your fingers, protect yourself with gloves. Be careful!
    • This type of waffle is perfect for creating tubes and cones, from which you can then create other types of desserts.

    How to make waffle batter

    Before making waffles, remove all the ingredients you need from the refrigerator and wait for them to come to room temperature. This way they will mix better and the dough will be homogeneous.

    In a deep bowl, beat the eggs and sugar with a mixer. Add butter and beat the mixture again. Then add flour, stir thoroughly.

    If the list of ingredients contains cocoa, honey or nuts, then add them too. Pour in 1 tablespoon of sunflower oil, stir in vanillin (if included in the recipe) and baking powder.

    The mixture of the dough should be similar to a drink.

    How to bake crispy waffles in a waffle iron

    Grease the waffle iron plates with a small amount of sunflower oil and heat the device thoroughly. A light indicator will indicate that it is ready for use. It will light up green.

    If you have a Russian waffle iron, then you will have to check the degree of heating yourself. Just drop some sunflower oil on the lid. If it hisses, it means the waffle iron has warmed up perfectly.

    Pour 1-2 tablespoons of batter into the waffle iron. When you close the lid, the dough will be moderately distributed over the surface of the plate, and the waffle will turn out really crispy and narrow.

    Close the lid tightly and bake the waffle until done. When the dough is baked, the green light will go off. If there is no indicator, use the time as a guide. On average, a waffle takes 2–3 minutes to bake.

    How to bake waffles without a waffle iron

    If you don't have a waffle iron, cook thin waffles in a frying pan or in the oven. The taste will not suffer from this. But the waffles may turn out thick and are unlikely to crisp.

    In a frying pan

    Grease a pancake pan with a small amount of sunflower oil and heat it well. Pour a spoonful of dough and carefully spread it over the entire surface.

    Fry the waffle for 15–20 seconds on each side.

    In the oven

    Here the waffles take a little longer to cook. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and draw circles on it for convenience. Pour a tablespoon of dough into any circle and smooth it out with a spatula. Bake waffles in an oven preheated to 200°C for 5 minutes.

    How to roll waffle rolls

    Roll up the tubes once the waffles are baked. They just take on whatever shape they want while they're hot. Cooled waffles crumble and break.

    • 50 g sugar;
    • 1 teaspoon condensed milk;
    • 5 ml cognac;
    • 100 g cottage cheese.

    Manufacturing

    Using a mixer, beat the softened butter until snow-white. Add sugar and beat again. While still working with the mixer, add a spoonful of condensed milk and cognac. Pass the cottage cheese through a sieve to get rid of lumps. Add it evenly into the butter mixture. Beat the cream with a mixer until the mixture is homogeneous.

    Ingredients

    • 120 g raspberries;
    • ½ cup sugar;
    • 450 g banana;
    • 140 g kiwi.

    Manufacturing

    Wash and dry the raspberries. Cover it with sugar and leave for 20–25 minutes. Beat the washed and peeled bananas and kiwis with a mixer.
