Savory fried mushrooms in cream. An amazing recipe for dinner or lunch. It is prepared very simply and quickly, and the dish itself turns out surprisingly tasty.

Products
White mushrooms – 300 g
Cream 10% – 200 ml
Garlic – 1 clove
Onions – 1 pc.
Salt - to taste
Black peppercorns – 5 pcs.
Flavored peppercorns – 2-3 pcs.
Bay leaf – 1 pc.
Butter – 1 tbsp. spoon
Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp. spoons

How to cook white mushrooms in cream:

Cut the onion into small cubes. Chop the garlic.

Cut the mushrooms into cubes or lengthwise into slices.

Fry the onion until golden in a consistency of butter and vegetable oil, remove it from the pan.

Fry the mushrooms in the same oil until golden brown. I fried them in batches because they are quite large. If you cut into cubes, then fry everything at once.

Add cream, dark and aromatic pepper. Simmer fried mushrooms in cream, covered, for 15-20 minutes over moderate heat.

Add garlic, fried onion, bay leaf, salt to taste, simmer for another 3 minutes.

This recipe floated out to me not so long ago in the recesses of my memory, like a memory from my youth, when in the summer I often lived with my grandmother in the village. She prepared this dish from milk mushrooms, which we collected in a grove on the outskirts of the village. Everything was different there - the rest of the mushrooms, and cream from our own cattle and eggs from domestic chickens, and onions from our own garden. From the entire list of goods, all I have left is green onions brought from the dacha. Everything else is adapted to modern city life. But it turned out delicious. This dish was served directly in a frying pan on the table. We ate it with spoons from the frying pan. In other words, it was an independent dish. But in my opinion today, such mushrooms can be served with a side dish of mashed potatoes, pasta, rice or buckwheat.

Ingredients for “Mushrooms in cream with chopped eggs”:

  • Mushrooms (milk mushrooms as standard, I used champignons) - 300 g
  • Ghee butter - 2 tbsp. l.
  • Onion – 150 g
  • Cream - 200 ml
  • Wheat flour / Flour - 2 tsp.
  • Chicken egg (hard-boiled) - 3 pcs.
  • Salt - to taste
  • Dark pepper - to taste
  • Green onions (feathers) - 6 pcs.

So, if you still managed to collect milk mushrooms in the forest, then you need to carefully wash them and boil them for 20 minutes beforehand.

If you are cooking from champignons, you do not need to boil them ahead of time. My champignons are small, I left them completely. Cut large ones as you like (into quarters or into slices).

Fry the mushrooms in melted butter over high heat for about 10 minutes. As they begin to fry, reduce the heat to medium, add the chopped onion and fry until the onion is translucent

It’s clear that no one determined the fat content of grandma’s cream, but it was recklessly thick.
I think 35-40% literally. I used cream with 10% fat content. The fattier the cream, the tastier the dish. Choose fat content according to your own taste.

Add 2 tsp to the cream. flour and stir until smooth. Pour the cream and flour into the mushrooms, add salt and pepper to taste, bring to a boil and cook with constant stirring for 5-7 minutes.

Boil eggs hard and finely chop, chop green onions

Add chopped eggs and green onions to the dish, remove from heat and serve.

Leave a few chopped eggs and onions and sprinkle on top of the dish when serving.
