The name of the alcoholic drink was derived from the world famous liqueur Krambambuli, for the production of which brandy and juniper are used. Such alcohol was created only in a few factories in Gdansk.
Krambambul gained wide popularity in the early 2000s. Now the drink can be seen in bars and restaurants of the CIS countries (the Commonwealth of Independent States is a regional international organization (international treaty) designed to regulate cooperative relations between states that were formerly part of the USSR) , and in Belarus the creation of krambambuli has been established at the industrial level.

Allspice – 6 peas
Cinnamon – 2 sticks
Cloves – 6 buds
Nutmeg – 1 g
Preparation method
First, purified water and 500 ml of vodka are poured into the pan. The container must be placed on low heat.
Next, spices from the list of ingredients are added, the contents are mixed well.
Do not bring the liquid to a boil. It should simmer on fire for about 10 minutes.
Now the liquid with spices needs to be removed from the stove and cooled to approximately 60 degrees Celsius.
Only after this honey and another 500 ml of vodka are added. The contents are thoroughly mixed, covered with a lid, and infused for approximately 10 minutes.
At the final step, the drink is filtered using gauze and poured into a jar.
It is necessary to put it in a black and cold space for about 2 weeks.
After this time, the crambambula will need to be filtered again.
Recipe for Fragrant Krambambula
Orange zest is used to make this drink. You can drink the tincture immediately after you filter it.
Ingredients
Allspice – 10 peas
Cinnamon – 4 sticks
Ground cinnamon – 1.5 g
Nutmeg – 0.5 g
Orange zest – 5 g
Cloves – 4 buds
Preparation method
First the base is made. Chop the aromatic pepper and put it in a saucepan.
Cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and orange zest are also added here.
The mixture is filled with water and vodka (size approximately 0.3 l).
The pan is placed on low heat, honey is added to the consistency. The drink must be heated for 15 minutes.
Be sure to stir the contents of the pan. If foam occurs, it is removed using a slotted spoon.
Fundamentally! Keep the consistency temperature to 60 degrees.
Then the drink is removed from the heat, covered with a lid, and left for half an hour. It must cool and brew.
Now the syrup made earlier is poured into a jar and diluted with the remaining vodka. The container must be tightly closed with a lid.
Some people prefer to infuse krambambula with orange zest. In this case, you need to leave the jar in a dark and cold place for about 1-2 weeks.
During the entire storage period, the contents of the jar are shaken 2 times a day.

It began to be served in luxury restaurants in Belarus and throughout the post-Russian region.
Due to the complexity of spices, only people of the highest class could afford such alcohol. Nowadays, any novice distiller can prepare a drink at home according to the classic recipe. The key to a good quality drink is the alcohol used in the recipe. The unique tincture of Krambambul is prepared on the basis of vodka, and good moonshine is also suitable for making. Honey, the second ingredient in the composition, should be taken only natural from proven suppliers, preferably flower honey. As for spices, it is better to use Indian ones; the composition can be changed to suit your own taste.

Traditional krambambuli recipe
This is a version of the original drink that has survived to this day, with a strength of 25%. Can be stored in a cold place for up to three years. Used both cool and hot.
Components:
- Vodka or moonshine 40-45% - 1 l;
- Spring water – 500 ml;
- Watery honey – 150 g;
- Cinnamon – 2 pcs;
- Dark peppercorns – 5 pcs.;
- Flavored peppercorns – 5 pcs.;
- Cloves – 5 pcs.;
- Nutmeg – 1⁄4 pcs.
How to prepare krambambul tincture
- Grind the aromatic pepper, cinnamon, and cloves in a mortar, but do not grind very finely, otherwise the filtration process will be very delayed at the last step.
- Grate the nutmeg on a small grater.
- Pour water into the pan, then half the alcohol. Add crushed spices.
- Place on low heat and simmer for 10 minutes, without letting it boil.
- Cool the alcoholic broth to a temperature of 50-60C degrees. Strain through a fine sieve.
- Pour in the remaining alcohol, add honey and stir.
- Close the lid and let the drink sit for 10 minutes. If you plan to drink carambula hot, then you can start tasting.
- Add dark pepper to the jar and leave for 10 days in a black place.
- Then filter the infusion and bottle it. Allow to mature for a few days before use.
Using this recipe, you can create a version of fragrant krambambuli by adding the zest of half an orange or lemon to the broth.
Recipe for krambambuli tincture with absinthe
Absinthe, with its rich bouquet of herbs and spices, gives the drink a unique smell and a high degree of up to 30%. The alcoholic drink will be ready in a couple of hours.
Compound:
- Absinthe - 200 ml;
- Spring water – 300 ml
- Honey – 1 tsp.
Manufacturing:
- Stir honey in warm water until completely dissolved.
- Pour in the absinthe, close the lid and shake well.
- Leave the infusion to steep for two hours.
- Serve the finished alcohol to the table.
Non-alcoholic krambambuli option - recipe with berries and juice
Delicious non-alcoholic krambambula is very healthy, because the berries contain a huge amount of vitamins. In winter, it is pleasant to drink it hot as a preventative against colds, and in summer, chilled, it perfectly refreshes and tones. The juice in the recipe can be replaced with fruit compote or mineral water.
Compound:
- Juice – 1000 ml;
- Honey-150 g
- Reddish rowan - 50 g;
- Blueberries – 50 gr;
- Bird cherry – 50 gr.;
- Cinnamon – 1 pc.;
- Allspice – 4 pcs.;
- Cloves – 4 pcs.;
- Cardamom – 1 pc.
Manufacturing:
- Pour the juice into the pan, heat to 80-90C.
- Add spices and berries to the liquid.
- Leave for 15-20 minutes. Strain.
- Add honey to the cooled infusion and stir.
- Pour into glasses and serve.
Cocktails with krambambula
- Good drinks are prepared using krambambuli. The production is simple, the ingredients are available.
- Cocktail “By the Fireplace”: Pour 40 ml of krambambuli into a glass, add 3 coffee beans, add a piece of refined sugar. Drink, and at the end chew coffee and refined sugar.
- Cocktail “Joyful Cook”: pour 200 ml of light beer and 70 ml of crambambu into a tall glass, add 2 tsp. honey

Panskaya is a bitterish hot tincture with a strength of 40% with a spicy aroma, golden-dark color. Ingredients: alcohol base, honey syrup, nutmeg, dark and reddish pepper, cinnamon, cloves, dill and bay leaf.
Shchodraya (Generous) - elite alcohol, cognac color, 40% strength. Ingredients: alcohol, soft water, honey syrup, cinquefoil, pine nuts and pine buds.
Khlebosolnaya is a bitter liqueur with a pronounced bready smell, 40% strength. Ingredients: vodka, bread infusion, coriander.
Palyaunichaya (Hunting) - with thyme and bison, a bitter tincture with a slightly pungent taste, 40% strength.
Sardzitaya (Angry) - a bitter liqueur with horseradish flavor. Ingredients: alcohol, sugar, horseradish, lemon zest, linden blossom, St. John's wort. Strength 40%.
Vognenny (Fiery) - a spicy tincture with a burning taste with a strength of 40%. Ingredients: alcohol, pepper mixture, sugar.
Luxurious - a sweet drink of 20% strength, with coffee taste. Contains alcohol, water, sugar, natural coffee.
Dalikatnaya (piquant) - a drink with a strength of 20%. Ingredients: vodka, sugar, nutmeg, capsicum, dark pepper, cloves, dill, bay leaf.

For example, this mysterious, funny “crambambula” - it turns out that it is a Belarusian, fragrant, alcoholic tincture made from vodka, honey and spices.
In the old days, each housewife had her own set of spices for making it. nevertheless, they were previously rare and expensive, they were brought from India - which means they were used according to their availability now.
Therefore, you can always add your favorite spices to a regular recipe (which I’ll show you specifically now), focusing on your preferences and taste - you will have the opportunity to make your own signature Krambambuli recipe.
And for this, first, cloves, aromatic pepper and nutmeg must be crushed in a mortar.
You can, of course, grind it in a coffee grinder, but not completely into dust.
Pour 250 grams of water and vodka into a thick-bottomed saucepan, pour out the crushed spices and a cinnamon stick. Stir a little and put on low heat.
Bring to a boil, and then simmer covered for 10 minutes.
Then remove from the heat. Add the remaining vodka and honey and stir. Cover with a lid and set aside for 5 minutes.
Then strain the tincture through several layers of gauze into a container, adding dark peppercorns to it. Close it tightly and leave it in a cool place for 7-10 days. During this period of time, the drink will infuse and acquire its own unique smell.
Before taking a sample, I would recommend straining again, or better yet (so as not to raise the sediment) carefully pouring it using a straw into a beautiful decanter or bottle. That's it, you can serve.
Krambambula was previously considered almost the best option for a joyful feast, but here the holidays are coming soon and the winter cold is just around the corner.
