Recipe for “Horseshoe Salad”:

We cut the champignons into small pieces, finely chop the onion, then fry together until the mushrooms are ready. Salt and pepper lightly. Cool.

In some regions there was a belief that if a person found a horseshoe on the road, he should pick it up, spit on it and make the most mysterious wish for himself. Then throw it over his left shoulder and continue on his own path, without looking back to see where exactly the horseshoe of fortune he found fell. But in fact, a completely different practice has come into everyday life - if a person finds a horseshoe on the way, then he must certainly bring it into the house and nail it over the front door.

Nowadays it is no longer practiced to hang horseshoes over the door, and finding a horseshoe is, in principle, quite difficult. But to bring good fortune into the house, we have the opportunity to prepare the “Horseshoe” salad, which has already firmly taken root and has become popular on festive tables for the New Year, name days, marriages, etc.

Recipe 1. Horseshoe salad

Required ingredients:

– chicken breast – 400 g;

– boiled egg – 4 pcs.;

– pickled cucumber – 4 pcs.;

– a can of canned peas, onions, parsley;

– spices and mayonnaise.

Manufacturing method:

Boil the chicken breast and leave it in the broth until it cools. In this way, the breast becomes more tender and juicy. Let's cut it into small pieces. Cut the boiled carrots and potatoes into cubes.

We cut half of the pickled cucumbers (2 pieces) into thin circles, and another 2 cucumbers into cubes.

Peel the boiled eggs, separate the whites from the yolks and grate them separately. Chop the onion, and finely chop the onion and parsley.

The first thing we need to create is to cook chicken fillet. Let it cook and let it cool right in the broth. You can put a couple of peppercorns, carrots, celery, a whole onion into a pan with the breast and as a result, you will get a tasty and light broth and boiled breast, which you will use when making a salad. Boil the chicken eggs separately and cool them.

Required ingredients:

– can of pineapples – 500 g;

– cloves of garlic – 2 pcs.;

Cool the boiled potatoes in their jackets, peel and grate the potatoes on a large grater. Let's draw the contours of a “horseshoe” on the dish, which will help us correctly lay out the layers of salad.

So, the first layer of salad is grated potatoes;

At this point, pour the syrup from the jar of pineapples. Cut the pineapples into squares and place them on top of the potato layer. At this point we need to coat the pineapple layer with mayonnaise. For this purpose, we recommend using homemade mayonnaise, which can be simply prepared.

For taste, we recommend grating the garlic that we need in this salad and adding it to the prepared mayonnaise - this is an ideal option for this salad.

Grease a layer of pineapples with mayonnaise.

The next layer of salad is a layer of cheese. We grate it and sprinkle it on the horseshoe. The salad is ready and can be served. Just don’t forget to decorate it to your own taste and depending on what holiday you prepared it for.
