I really like making homemade drinks, and this is completely justified, because they turn out to be very tasty and healthy, unlike the chemical consistencies sold in stores. Now my choice fell on homemade lemonade.

The title implies the introduction of lemon as the main ingredient. But this decision seemed sour to me; I really wanted something unusual. Not everyone knows, but this drink can be made much tastier by using an orange as a base. This is how lemonade will turn out to be the most catchy in appearance and richest in taste. You can simply get rid of the slight bitterness of this fruit with the help of one trick, which I will share with you in the recipe.

Production time: 20 minutes + 3 hours for freezing fruit.

Servings: 8 tbsp (2 l).

Ingredients of the dish.

  • Orange - 250 g (1-2 pcs).
  • Water - 2 l.
  • Citric acid - 1-2 g (1/4 tsp).
  • Sugar - 100-150 g (1/2 tbsp).

Let's prepare the ingredients. I carefully wash the oranges under the tap.

For this recipe, one ripe fruit with a diameter of about 10 cm is enough, but if you want to get the most pronounced and rich taste of the drink, you can take two or three citrus fruits. Experiment and you will find your favorite proportions.

Place the oranges in a bowl and pour boiling water over them for 1-2 minutes. This procedure will help remove waxy deposits.

Then wipe the citrus fruits dry with a towel and place them in the freezer for at least 2 hours to reduce the bitterness of the peel.

I freeze several fruits at once and take them out as needed.

Without wasting time, boil the required amount of water (2 liters) and cool.

Let the oranges thaw so that they can be cut into large slices.

Grind the purchased product using a meat grinder or blender.

Pour the puree purchased from 1 fruit with cooled boiled water (2 tbsp).

Let the mixture sit for about 10-15 minutes.

Then filter the drink through a sieve into a carafe or other suitable container. Throw away the cake.

Add sugar (1/2 tbsp) to the bowl.

Pour in citric acid (1/4 tsp).

Pour the remaining boiled water into the carafe and stir the mixture until the bulk ingredients dissolve.

Serve homemade orange lemonade chilled.

  • 2 large oranges;
  • 120 grams of sugar.

Manufacturing:

  1. Rinse oranges and lemons thoroughly under running water. Pour boiling water over the oranges. Cut the fruit in half to extract the juice. It is recommended to use an electronic or mechanical juicer. If you don’t have such a kitchen device, you can squeeze out the juice with your hands. It will be useful to take a small piece of gauze to filter out the pulp particles. Place a deep bowl where the liquid will drain.
  2. Cut the orange peel into small cubes. Place along with sweet sand and pulp in a pan filled with water. Put it on fire. Cook after boiling for 10 minutes.
  3. Pour the finished broth into a glass jug through cheesecloth or a fine sieve. Add freshly squeezed citrus juice. Stir well.
  4. The lemonade is almost ready. Leave it to steep in the refrigerator for a couple of hours. The taste of the drink will become more pronounced.
  5. It is not allowed to store lemonade for a very long time, since there was no boiling after combining the juice with the decoction. If you want to store the drink for a certain number of days, you can boil the citrus decoction after adding the juice. But keep in mind that vitamins (a group of low-molecular organic compounds of relatively simple structure and varied chemical nature) and other beneficial microelements will be destroyed.

Orange and lemon lemonade

  • 2 oranges;
  • 2 lemons;
  • 150 grams of sugar;
  • 3 liters of water.

Manufacturing:

  1. To make the drink, it is recommended to choose the freshest fruits, without stains or other damage. They are rich in vitamins and beneficial substances, which are preserved after making lemonade due to the lack of heat treatment. The finished drink is tasty and healthy for the body. It perfectly relieves thirst in the summer.
  2. Rinse citrus fruits under running water. Clean heavy dirt with a brush. Dry the skin with a cardboard towel. Then cut any fruit in half. Extract the juice using a manual or electronic juicer. Makes about 1 glass of water. There is no need to throw away the peel - you will need it later.
  3. Finely chop the skin. Boil drinking water in a saucepan. Add crushed peel and sweet sand. It is recommended to adjust the amount of sugar according to your preferences. The varieties of citrus fruits chosen for making the drink are of great importance.
  4. Bring the water to a boil. Cook the skins for about 3-6 minutes. Don't forget to remove the zest, otherwise the lemonade will turn out very bitter. In general, some people like bitter drinks, so you can ignore this advice.
  5. Turn off the fire. Pour in freshly squeezed juice. Pass the finished lemonade through a piece of gauze folded twice. Place the drink in a cold space until it cools down. Pour into glasses. Serve chilled.

Frozen orange lemonade

  • 2 large oranges;
  • 10 g of citric acid (usually 1 sachet);
  • 1 lemon;
  • 250 g sugar;
  • 4 liters of cool clean water.

Manufacturing:

  1. Rinse the oranges under running water. Place in the freezer to chill for 1 day. After the specified time has elapsed, remove the fruits and defrost them briefly. Place in blender to puree.
  2. Add freshly squeezed lemon juice. Pour the resulting mixture with 2 liters of cool drinking water. Stir well with a spoon and leave to steep for 1/4 hour.
  3. Add sweet sand and citric acid. Dilute the mixture with another 2 liters of water. Stir well. Let stand 1/4 hour. After that, strain the finished juice into a deep jug.
  4. Store the finished lemonade in the refrigerator. Almost everyone notes that the drink resembles orange sparkling water in its taste.

Mint orange lemonade


To prepare a very tasty soft drink, it will be useful to take lemons, oranges and mint. As a base, you can use mineral or ordinary tap water (previously boiled). To preserve the distinctive taste, it is recommended to remove the citrus zest. But the drink can turn out to be overly bitter if you make a mistake. Therefore, it is better to simply fill the pan with hot water and add fruit.

  • 1 lemon;
  • 1 orange;
  • 5 stalks of mint;
  • 3 tbsp. spoons of sugar;
  • 1.50 liters of drinking water.

Manufacturing:

  1. Rinse the citrus fruits with hot water. Then cut the fruits into small slices. Squeeze the juice into a deep saucepan. Add citrus slices.
  2. Wash the mint stems. Use your hands to tear off all the leaves and throw them into the water. Add sweet sand. It is recommended to adjust the amount of sugar at your own discretion. If you like sweet drinks, add a couple extra spoons.
  3. Fill the contents of the pan with boiling water. Cover with a lid. Wait until the lemonade cools down. To reduce the waiting time, after 30 minutes, immerse the container in cool water.
  4. You can serve lemonade in 2 ways - in a glass or in a glass jug. It is recommended to throw in a few ice cubes. It is best to use the freshest mint leaves as decoration.

Orange and apple lemonade

  • 2 liters of drinking water;
  • 1 orange;
  • 4 medium-sized apples;
  • 100 g sugar;
  • 10 g citric acid.

Manufacturing:

  1. Wash the orange with soap, then rinse with bubbling water. Simply rinse other fruits under the tap. Remove the seed from every apple. Cut the pulp into small slices. Divide the orange in half and squeeze out the juice with a manual citrus juicer. If there is no such device, you can squeeze out the liquid with your hands. Take a small piece of gauze to filter out solid particles.
  2. Place a pan filled with water on the stove. Slice the orange peel. When the water boils, add the peels and sweet sand. Cook the syrup for about 10 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, grate the apples or grind through a meat grinder. Squeeze the resulting mass through gauze folded 3 times. Combine apple and orange juices.
  4. Strain the prepared orange peel decoction. Add citric acid (an ordinary 10-gram sachet is enough). Pour in citrus juice. To obtain the most intense taste, you need to let the lemonade sit for a short time (about 4 hours). After that, pour into glasses.

Ginger and orange lemonade


The cooling drink will be much healthier if you add ginger root. In addition, thanks to the unique combination of ingredients, an extraordinary taste is obtained. After making ginger lemonade for the first time, you will certainly want to write down or understand the recipe so that you can often treat yourself to a cold and fragrant drink. Coping with production is quite simple.

  • 2 liters of clean water;
  • 2 oranges;
  • 1 lemon;
  • Ginger root;
  • 1/2 cup sweet sand.

Manufacturing:

  1. Wash the fruit and cut in half. Squeeze out the juice with a juicer or by hand (use gauze to sift out the pulp). Before squeezing juice, it is recommended to remove the zest from each fruit (without the snow-white bitter part). Grate the ginger root using a small mesh grater. You will get a juicy mass.
  2. Fill a suitable sized saucepan with 2 liters of water. Add sugar. After the water boils, add the citrus zest and ginger root. Cook for 1/4 hour. The water should become fragrant and sweet.
  3. Strain the finished broth through a sieve. Cool at room temperature. Then add freshly squeezed juice. Place the drink in the refrigerator for 24 hours. Before serving, pour the lemonade into glasses (each should contain an ice cube). Use mint leaves for decoration.

Strawberry and orange lemonade


There is a popular option for making a soft drink from citruses and berries. Thanks to the combination of ingredients, the lemonade comes out unusually tasty. It is recommended to serve it with ice cubes. You can put cocktail straws in glasses. In addition, mint leaves will be a suitable decoration. It is recommended to regulate the amount of sweet sand independently. It can be completely replaced with honey if you are not allergic to bee products.

Any strawberry is suitable for making lemonade, even frozen. Citrus fruits are sold in stores every year, so there will be no problems with purchasing suitable ingredients. The basis of the drink is usually mineral or ordinary purified water. If you decide to make a drink based on Sprite, you don’t need to add lemons. Lemonade is prepared quite quickly if you carefully follow the instructions.

  1. Rinse the strawberries with water. Remove the stems. Place the berries in a deep bowl and cover with sweet sand. Make strawberry puree.
  2. Squeeze the juice from 1/2 lemon and 1-2 oranges. If you purchased small fruits, take 2 pcs., if large, take 1 pc. Pour freshly squeezed juices into strawberry puree. Stir well. Fill with drinking water.
  3. Place the finished lemonade in the refrigerator for 1 hour. Pour the cool drink into glasses. For decoration, you can use lemon slices, mint leaves, etc. To keep the drink cool longer, place ice cubes in glasses.

Carbonated orange lemonade “a la Fanta”

I would like to present another option on the theme of citrus lemonades. Kids really love Fanta, but they don’t want to take artificial drinks, so they have to create it themselves. Very tasty lemonade, especially in such hot weather.

  • Sparkling water – 1.5 l
