  • beets – 1 pc. (120 g)
  • apple – 1/2 pcs. (50 g)

Manufacturing

Boil or bake the beets in advance. I chose the 2nd method - wrapped the root vegetable in foil and baked at 180 degrees for 1 hour. If you cook, fill with cool water and add 1 spoon of vinegar, bring to a boil, cover with a lid and cook until tender. Cool and peel off the skin.

The cooked beets must be chopped into narrow strips using a Korean carrot grater.

Wash, peel and chop the apple into strips.

Season with salt, sugar, lemon juice and sunflower oil - for this salad it is best to use unrefined salad oil, which smells delicious of roasted sunflower seeds.

Add nuts - they need to be dried in a dry frying pan, and then cut into large pieces or beaten with a rolling pin. Mix the salad.

Place the beetroot salad in a heap on a plate, garnish with nuts and a slice of lemon.

  • • walnut kernels – 100-120 g;

  • • for dressing – low-fat mayonnaise, preferably homemade – a couple of tablespoons.

  1. If the beets are ready in advance, you should start your culinary masterpiece with prunes: wash them and quickly pour boiling water over them: once swollen, they become much tastier. Then chop the dried fruit with a knife into medium-sized pieces.
  2. Beets, boiled in their skins earlier and cooled, are peeled carefully: the thinner the peel is cut, the more vitamins remain in the pulp. The root vegetable is then grated. The garlic can be minced in the same step.
