  • vanilla crackers – 40 g;
  • sugar – 80 g;
  • cinnamon – 0.5 tsp.

Production time: 40 min.

How to make apple pie from store-bought puff pastry

  1. Thaw the puff pastry ahead of time and then divide it into two parts in a ratio of approximately 2:3. Roll out a larger piece using a rolling pin so that it completely covers the baking dish and does not extend slightly beyond the edges of the sides. Grease the container with vegetable or butter and place the rolled out layer in it.
  2. Sprinkle the base with crushed breadcrumbs. This is necessary so that the workpiece does not become soggy from the water that will be released from the apples during the baking process.
  3. Wash the apples, cut out the cores, peel them (optional). Unpeeled fruits will taste great in finished baked goods. And if you remove the skin from the fruit, then the inside will be homogeneous in the mixture, tender and virtually inseparable from the dough (to taste).
  4. Cut the apples into small cubes.
  5. Place the prepared fruits on the bottom of the mold. You will get a fairly thick layer. Sprinkle apples with cinnamon (optional) and sugar on top. Adjust the amount of sweet sand at your discretion - it may vary depending on how sweet the variety of fruits used is and your taste preferences.
  6. Roll out the remaining part of the puff pastry to the size of the mold. Cover the filling with a layer.
  7. Pinch the edges of the product tightly. Pierce the top with a fork in several places, or create small cuts. This is necessary for steam to escape.
  8. Bake the dessert in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 35-40 minutes.

Allow the finished baked goods to cool, then remove from the mold and serve. The dessert is delicious not only cold, but also warm, especially with milk.

Apple pie made from ready-made puff pastry without yeast

Ingredients:

  • puff pastry – 300 g;
  • apples – 1 pc.;
  • apple jam – 3 tbsp;
  • cinnamon – 1 tsp;
  • sweet sand – 1 tbsp;
  • flour – 2 tbsp;
  • chicken egg – 1 pc.

Mold size: 25 cm.

Preparation time: 20 min.

Production time: 30 min.

Manufacturing process

  1. It is better to use puff pastry without yeast. It should be previously defrosted at room temperature, then divided into 2 parts. On a floured surface, roll out one half of the dough into a thin sheet. Line the bottom and sides of the baking dish with baking paper or grease with vegetable oil. Place the rolled out dough into it. In diameter it should be 3-4 cm larger than the bottom of the mold.
  2. Trim off excess dough, leaving sides 15-20 mm high. Create a lot of punctures with a fork so that the cake of the open apple pie does not become deformed during baking.
  3. Grease the central part of the cake with jam or marmalade.
  4. Wash the apple, dry it, cut it into 4 parts. Remove the core with seeds. Then cut the quarters into thin slices. You can use a vegetable peeler.
  5. Place fruit slices in a circle on top of the jam.
  6. Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top.
  7. Roll out the second half of the dough, not forgetting to dust the table with flour. The size of this cake should be slightly larger than the diameter of the mold. Then use a knife to create notches in a checkerboard pattern. The length of the slots and the distance between two adjacent ones is about 15 mm.
  8. Carefully transfer the tortilla onto the apples. It needs to be slightly stretched so that the slots open slightly.
  9. Excess dough should be cut off and the edges of the 2 cakes molded tightly.
  10. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Meanwhile, brush the uncovered puff pastry apple pie with beaten egg. Thanks to this, it will acquire an appetizing appearance.
  11. Bake the dessert until golden brown for 15 minutes. Then remove the baked goods from the oven and brush again with the remaining egg. Bake for another 10 minutes.

Cool the finished pie, and only then cut into portions and serve.

Apple pie made from puff pastry - the best baking recipes from ready-made dough

Packing ready-made dough in the freezer is a strategic supply for almost all occasions. For example, at any moment you can quickly bake an apple pie with a crispy crust and tender sweet interior. The preparation of the dessert is so simple that even the laziest will dare to work a little.

At first glance, it seems that there is only one recipe for apple pie. Even those that I understand do not mean that the others do not exist. Our housewives are brilliant with their thoughts, and have come up with so many different options that it’s impossible to count. There are also open, aspic, and upside-down pies. But the most delicious are baked goods with caramel. A step-by-step recipe is just an example of such a successful dessert.

Apple pie made from ready-made puff pastry - regular recipe

It's an open-faced upside-down pie with a sweet apple interior. Take any kind of dough - yeast or without it, there is no fundamental difference.

  • Large apples – 3 pcs.
  • Sweet sand – 100 gr.
  • Puff pastry – pack (500 g).
  • Cinnamon - small spoon.
  • Butter – 25 gr.

Rinse and clean the fruit. Be sure to remove the skin if the apples are late and hard. Cut into slices.

Heat a dry frying pan on the stove and add sweet sand. Heat it over medium heat until the crystals begin to melt. No need to stir. Don't wait for them to start caramelizing and darkening; move on to the next step.

Place a piece of butter on the frying pan. Help it bloom by stirring it with sugar.

The butter should melt completely and the smell of toffee will appear.

Place apple tenderloin. Continue frying the filling until the juices release and the sugar crystals have completely melted.

Add cinnamon to a spoon and stir well. Turn off the burner, transfer the filling to a plate, and leave to cool.

Flatten out the sheet of dough. If you got square layers folded in half, leave it that way. Unfold the rolled sheet and fold it in half, or even in thirds, as in the photo.

Roll out the layer, trying to give it an oval shape. The diameter of the workpiece should be equal to the size of the surface of the apple pie pan.

Take a one-piece mold, lay out the apples, spread over the entire surface.

Cover the filling with dough, tuck the edges inward, as in the photo. When the pie is baked, you should have sides and an apple inside.

Place the pie on the middle rack of the oven, preheated to 180 o C. Turn on the timer for 25 minutes. The time is relative and depends on the size of the baked goods and the power of your oven.

Let the baked goods cool slightly, then cover it with a wide plate of the same size. With a deft movement, turn the pie over so that the inside is on top. Garnish with whipped cream if desired.

Apple pie with caramel from yeast puff pastry

Another version of a delicious dessert with a twist in the form of salted caramel.

  • Puff pastry – 400 gr.
  • Apples – 4 pcs.
  • Sweet sand - 2 tablespoons.
  • Butter - the same amount.
  • Cream 35% fat - 2 huge spoons.
  • Sugar – ¼ cup.
  • Salt – ¼ small spoon.
  • Butter – 2 huge spoons.
  1. Thaw the package of puff pastry.
  2. Remove the seed from the apples and cut off the skin if necessary. Chop into thin slices or semicircles.
  3. Place the sheet of dough into the pan and straighten it out. Arrange the apple tenderloin. Lay in a fan pattern, slightly overlapping, filling the entire surface.
  4. Sprinkle apple slices with sugar. Cut the butter into tiny pieces and scatter over the pie.
  5. Bake at 200°C for 30 minutes.
  6. Make the caramel right away. To do this, pour sugar into a saucepan and place on full heat.
  7. Wait until the granules melt, hold for a few more minutes. When you notice that the sugar takes on a caramel color, turn off the stove. Do not overcook, as the process will continue for some time and the sugar will darken.
  8. Add butter to the melted sweetness, add salt and stir. Then pour in the cream. Stir the caramel again quickly.
  9. Remove the finished pie from the oven and generously brush the apple surface. Return to oven for another 5 minutes. Gourmets serve dessert with a scoop of ice cream.

Layered upside-down pie with apples

Another version of apple pie made from puff pastry is an upside-down pie. The pastry got its name for a reason: when served, the former bottom part of the pie becomes a wonderful top. The combination of sour apples combined with sticky sweet caramel can be called a win-win without exaggeration. Prepare this treat at least once, and your family will never stop asking you to create it again and again.

  • Puff pastry – 1 package;
  • Sour apples – 1.5 kg;
  • Sugar – 150 g;
  • Butter – 20 g;
  • Cinnamon – 1 tsp.
  • Honey – 2 tbsp.

Upside-down pie with apples is made from puff pastry without yeast. For baking, an ancient frying pan without a handle is suitable, which can be safely placed both on the stove and in the oven.

  1. Wash the apples, peel them, remove the seeds, cut into thin slices. Sprinkle with lemon juice to prevent them from darkening.
  2. Mix 2 tablespoons of sugar with cinnamon and sprinkle the mixture given to the apples.
  3. Melt butter in a frying pan. Add the remaining sugar and honey. The sugar will begin to melt, acquiring a golden caramel color. To prevent the caramel from burning, you need to stir it with a spatula.
  4. Carefully place the apple slices on the bottom of the frying pan, possibly overlapping them. When heated over low heat, they will release juice, which will mix with the caramel. Cook the apples for about 15 minutes. Remove the dishes from the heat.
  5. Roll out the thawed puff pastry across the width of the pan and carefully cover the apple slices with it, being careful not to push them into a pile. Tuck the dough into the sides, seemingly enveloping the filling.
  6. Using a fork, make moderate punctures across the entire surface of the dough so that it does not rise too much during baking.
  7. Place the pie in the oven. Bake at 180°C for 30-35 minutes.

Remove the finished pie from the oven, let stand for 5 minutes, then turn the pan over onto a large platter. If you leave the pie in a frying pan, the caramel will harden very much and removing the dessert will not be so easy.

An open-faced puff pastry pie with apples and caramel is equally delicious served warm or cool. You can serve the pastries with a scoop of creamy ice cream. It's insanely delicious!

Useful tips

Lingonberries for baking can be used either fresh or frozen (they are available in any supermarket). The freshest lingonberries are washed well, spoiled berries are thrown away, and the good ones are dried, spread out on a cardboard or fabric towel.

  1. Taking into account that lingonberries are a sour berry, you can achieve greater sweetness inside without adding excess sugar, but by using sweet varieties of apples.
  2. The berry-fruit interior will become even more fragrant if you sprinkle it with cinnamon, nutmeg or vanilla.
  3. It is possible to avoid excessive release of juice when baking apple-lingonberry pie by adding a little starch to the filling.
  4. It is recommended to bake a puff pastry pie with apples and lingonberries on the middle level of the oven. With all this, it is better to preheat the electronic oven to 200°C, and the gas oven to 180°C.

You see, the recipe for puff pastry apple pie is so simple that you can prepare it even on a weekday. Fragrant pastries will brighten up a gloomy autumn evening and fill the house with warmth and comfort.
