The smell emanating from the oven while roasting a ruddy bird will make everyone in the household run to the kitchen. And expect a call from your neighbor asking what you’re cooking and what smells so delicious. I guarantee it!

Chicken with garlic is not only tasty, but also healthy. For this recipe, you can use any parts of the chicken or prepare the whole carcass. Do you like wings? You can have them too. But you don’t need to bake the breast like this: it will be a bit dry. The preparation time is insignificant, but it is better to marinate the meat all night (that is, in the dark) or during the day. This way it will be saturated with spices and mayonnaise, and the chicken will turn out very juicy, soft, with a wonderful golden, crispy crust.

How to cook chicken tasty and cheap

We hardly need uninvited guests; we will spoil ourselves and our family. I’ll tell you how to cook a very tasty chicken in this recipe with photos. Minimum ingredients:

  • Chicken meat (I have thighs without back) – 1.5 kg;
  • Mayonnaise – 2 tablespoons;
  • Soy sauce – 30 ml;
  • Garlic – 7-8 cloves;
  • Vegetable oil – 2 tablespoons;
  • Salt and ground pepper - to taste.

Be sure to wash and dry the chicken meat with a cardboard towel.

Prepare the marinade. For it, mix mayonnaise, soy sauce, vegetable oil, salt, pepper.

Mix thoroughly, making a homogeneous mass.

“Where is the garlic?” you ask. I answer. I have 2 options. Both are good, choose for you.

  1. Option 1. We take each thigh (in my case, but in yours it could be a whole chicken), poke holes with a knife (2-3 in the thigh, depending on the size, more in a whole chicken).
  2. Insert garlic into each hole. Do you have big teeth? Then half each. I had very small garlic, so I used it whole.

Method 2: simply chop the garlic and add to the marinade. I like option No. 1: during baking, garlic perfectly soaks the inside of the meat and adds juiciness, especially in the pierced areas. But my husband, for example, doesn’t like soft baked garlic and constantly picks it out, so I follow the second recipe.

  1. Regardless of which method you use to add the fragrant vegetable, the next step is simply pouring the resulting sauce over the meat.
  2. Mix well, giving the chicken a light massage to soften the tissue (The structure of tissues of living organisms is studied by the science of histology) and better saturate it.
  3. The preliminary step is over. The meat must be refrigerated. I always marinate in the evening and cook it for dinner the second day. You can do it in less time, from half an hour, but the longer you spend, the juicier the chicken in mayonnaise will be.

The oven is waiting for the chicken

An hour before dinner, take the chicken out of the refrigerator and place it on a baking sheet or in a mold. Bake at 190-200 degrees for about 40-50 minutes. It is important not to dry the meat, so after 30 minutes, make a puncture with a knife. If the juice comes out clear, it’s ready; you don’t have to wait for it to completely finish flowing out.

While baking, remove the chicken 2-3 times and pour your juices over it. The crust is especially tasty with mayonnaise and cheese. 10 minutes before the end of cooking, grate the cheese on a large grater and sprinkle it over the meat.

The most delicious fragrant chicken is ready. I’m sure that the household has already prepared the devices and can’t wait to try them out. For a side dish, I prepared boiled potatoes with butter and dill and served with garlic sauce.

Carcass preparation

Before you start cooking according to the recipe that you like best, you need to correctly select and prepare the carcass:

  1. Firstly, the broiler needs to be fresh. It is much better to take a chilled carcass, because frozen chickens contain a lot of water, which interferes with normal baking. The best weight for chicken is around 2 kg, then it will be quite juicy and meaty.
  2. Secondly, if there are small feathers left, they need to be plucked. Check the inside of the chicken: often there are small pieces of giblets left behind, giving off a nasty smell.
  3. Take a close look (especially in the area of ​​the wings) to see if there are any remaining fluffs. If you find them, be sure to scorch them over the fire. Wash the carcass under running water and wipe dry.
  4. To improve the appearance of the upcoming dish, cut off excess skin on the neck and belly. Also trim off excess fat; it is not needed at all, because during cooking the chicken will already produce a lot of it.
  5. Rub the prepared carcass well with salt both outside and inside, after which it must lie for at least half an hour. The salt should be finely ground; it is better absorbed and does not form a crust on the meat when baking.

The simplest and, perhaps, the most delicious recipe for baked chicken with garlic, which always turns out simply amazing! The meat will be tender and very juicy, and the smell is simply enchanting, it is very difficult to resist.

To make it, take:

  • chicken;
  • salt with garlic.

The prepared baking sheet or baking tray must be greased or lined with special parchment paper for baking. Place the carcass breast down; in this position it will best be saturated with juices accumulating on the bottom of the dish.

Preheat the stove to 180°C and place the baking sheet with the carcass in the oven. She must stay there for at least an hour and a half. During the baking process, it is better to pour the juices released during frying on top from time to time; the meat will thus be juicier and softer.

To make sure the chicken is cooked, check the meat for doneness. Pierce it with something sharp (a knife or fork) and see what color the juice comes out of the “wound.” If it’s pink, it’s too early to take it out, if it’s light and transparent, you can take it out!

Remove the baked chicken from the oven and prepare the garlic for grating by finely chopping it with a knife. The more garlic, the more aromatic and piquant it will be. Place the chicken on a large platter or plate and rub it with garlic on all sides, don’t forget to grate it on the inside.

Decorate the edges of the dish with any citrus fruits, cut into slices or circles, to give the chicken an even more appetizing and attractive look. It is better to serve this yummy dish hot, when it gives off an indescribably appetizing garlic smell.

  1. Baking chicken with garlic is not difficult, and the result is simply cool. First, let's marinate the bird a few hours before cooking. To do this, rub the washed and dried carcass with salt, pepper (several types), as well as fragrant herbs and spices of your choice and taste. You can use a special mix for baking poultry, or simply take a little dried basil, oregano, marjoram, turmeric or curry and rub the kuru with the acquired consistency.

  • chicken – 1.2-1.6 kg;
  • sour cream – 165 g;
  • hard cheese (optional) - to taste;
  • garlic cloves – 4-6 pcs.;
  • curry and a mixture of Italian herbs - to taste;
  • rosemary (optional) - to taste;
  • vegetable or butter – 45 g;
  • large table rock salt and ground pepper (a mixture of several types) - to taste.

  1. In this case, we will not cook the chicken as a whole carcass, but will cut it into portioned pieces or take only the legs or feet straight away.
