Cookies from my youth, from those times when stores did not have such a contrast of pastries and desserts as at the moment. It cooks quickly and is eaten just as quickly; after a couple of hours, only crumbs remained from a substantial portion. I highly recommend trying the indescribably delicious raisin cookies, especially since the recipe is simple, without powdered ingredients and complex manipulations with the dough. The most ordinary products are needed: flour, margarine, sugar, eggs, raisins and cinnamon for sprinkling. If you feel like experimenting, you can mix regular sugar and vanilla, add citrus zest, ground ginger or gingerbread mixture to the dough.

I added cinnamon to the raisin cookie recipe as a flavoring agent. But not into the dough, but mixed it with sugar and rolled the pieces in the breading given to us before putting them in the oven. What came out was a fragrant sweet crust, very tasty!

Ingredients for 20-25 pieces:

  • wheat flour – 1.5-2 cups;
  • testicle – 1 piece;
  • soft margarine or softened butter – 150 g;
  • sugar – 3 tbsp. l. with a slide into the dough + 2 tbsp. l. for sprinkling;
  • black raisins - a large handful;
  • baking powder – 2 tsp;
  • cinnamon – 1 tsp.

I sort out the raisins, rinse them, and pour boiling water over them. I leave it to steam for 5 minutes. Instead of pouring boiling water, you can steam it in a water bath. If the raisins are soft, then just rinse with water and dry.

I cut the margarine into small pieces in advance and leave it to soften at room temperature. When there is no time to wait, I put it in a bowl of warm water or heat it in a microwave oven (microwave radiation, ultra-high frequency radiation - electromagnetic radiation, including the decimeter, centimeter and millimeter range of radio waves) .

Add sugar to soft margarine. Together with it you can add vanillin or other flavorings.

Grind the sugar and margarine to a viscous, slightly fluffy mass. The crystals should practically disperse.

Beat the egg until the white and yolk combine and foam forms. I pour it to a butter-sugar consistency.

I sift the flour, at this step one and a half glasses is enough. Later, depending on how you want to create the cookies, you can add more or leave the dough sticky.

I add baking powder. Because the dough contains a lot of fat, I use more baking powder than in other recipes.

I dry the raisins or squeeze them with a towel so that excess moisture does not get in. I add it to the dough.

I stir with a spoon until all the ingredients are combined. If you want the cookies to come out very soft, use enough flour. But keep in mind that the cookies will not hold their shape and will spread into flat cakes. You need to spread this dough with a spoon or simply spread it on a baking sheet in a not very narrow layer and bake for about half an hour.

I make cookies from the densest dough, but they are not heavy, they still remain soft and fluffy. I add another half a glass of flour or a little more and mix it with my hands until I get a soft bun.

I preheat the oven to 180 degrees. I make pieces weighing approximately 25 grams or the size of a walnut. I roll balls.

I prepare a breading mixture of sugar and cinnamon. I used finely ground cinnamon, imported from Sri Lanka, so the cookies came out speckled. When adding regular cinnamon, the crust will be smooth and slightly brownish in color.

I roll the balls into a sweet consistency, leaving the part that touches the baking sheet unstained, otherwise it will burn underneath.

I cover the baking sheet with baking paper. I place the cookies at a small distance, taking into account that in the oven they will spread slightly to the sides.

Place the cookies in a hot oven on medium level. Cookies with raisins are baked in the oven for 20-25 minutes at 180 degrees.
