It's mind-blowing that I haven't posted the brushwood recipe until now. I am correcting this misunderstanding. I became acquainted with this delicacy at my friend’s birthday, in my deepest childhood. His grandmother was absolutely delicious in preparing everything related to sweets, I remember it very well. At our house, my mother immediately refused to cook brushwood, citing the lack of ability to prepare sweet powder. No sooner said than done! I made an agreement with my friend’s parents and rented a coffee grinder from them to grind sugar. Here the mother could not get away with it. Naturally, at the moment, nothing is stopping me from frying this delicacy for my own family, especially since its recipe is much simpler than almost everyone thinks. Well, I have one secret that I will share below.

Take a huge bowl and break the eggs into it. Add a little flour. Pour out the required amount of salt. Pour out the vodka.

Mix the batter. While adding flour, bring the dough to a stiff mixture so that it does not stick to your hands.

Cover the dough with the bowl in which it was kneaded and let stand for 30 minutes. Roll out a narrow sheet, transparent in the literal sense of the word. Cut the sheet into rectangles, diamonds, you can cut out rounds.

Create various complicated and not so complicated products. Frankly speaking, I absolutely prefer to fry just strips, it still turns out delicious. Therefore, I leave aesthetic delights to your conscience. Heat vegetable oil to a temperature of 170 degrees Celsius. This roughly corresponds to the average heating of the stove.

Deep fry the brushwood until it turns a beautiful golden color. Frying time should be about a minute. If it cooks too quickly, the oil is too hot and it will burn and not be crispy. If the oil is very cool, then the brushwood takes a long time to fry and does not stratify very well. Based on these signs, you can achieve a good oil temperature. Place the fried brushwood on a paper towel or napkin to drain any remaining oil. Sprinkle hot brushwood with sweet powder; for this it is very convenient to use a sieve.

And I completely forgot about the secret I promised. When I have some dough left over for dumplings, you can find the recipe here. Either the dough is from dumplings, then I make that brushwood from it. It turns out very tasty. This recommendation can be considered as another test recipe.

Products:

  • 1 glass of sparkling mineral water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  • sour cream or mayonnaise - 100 g
  • egg - 1 pc.
  • salt - to taste

Manufacturing:

Using sour cream and eggs, knead a thick dough, adding salt to taste, roll it out into a narrow sheet (like homemade noodles), cut into wide strips.

In the middle of the strips, create a longitudinal cut along the entire length, but without cutting the edges.

When bending the strip, insert one end of it into the slot and pull it, straightening the strip - in this case, the parts of the strip broken by the cut will twist and a voluminous figured product will be formed.

Fry the shaped pieces in bubbling vegetable oil, discard in a colander to allow the oil to drain.

Then place on a plate and sprinkle with sweet powder.

How to cook crispy brushwood

Products:

  • flour - 1 cup
  • milk - 1 glass sugar - 2 tablespoons
  • eggs - 4 pieces
  • sweet powder - 0.5 cups

Manufacturing:

Grind the yolks with sugar until the grains disappear, dilute with milk and pour into flour.

Knead until smooth and fold in the whipped whites. Mix carefully.

Lower the dough into the heated fat in a narrow stream through a funnel in different directions in the form of a grid and immerse it in the fat with a slotted spoon for 1 - 2 minutes. You can also use the form.

Products:

  • 160 g flour
  • 250 g milk
  • 2 testicles
  • 30 g butter
  • vanillin
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda

Manufacturing:

It is better to scramble the eggs, add milk (or water), vanillin and add flour sifted in a consistency with soda, mix well, add melted butter and mix until a homogeneous watery dough is obtained.
