Decorated with chips, they serve as a flower. You can create one large flower in the center, or three flowers from chips. The middle can be a yolk or a carrot. It looks like an orchid flower. It looks very nice and beautiful on the table. You can prepare it for dinner, or lunch, or for a gala table.

Recently, all the guests are tired of Olivier and herring under a fur coat, looking for the latest exciting options. Because I love to cook, guests know that they will try interesting new dishes from me.

This version of the snack is not at all the newest; there are a lot of recipes on the Internet, which combine various ingredients together. I would like to share my version of the dish.

Why do I like this option? Because it is easy to make, very light, very tasty, and filling. Looks great on a formal table. There are dishes that seem to be made from ordinary goods, but they turn out delicious. This option can be considered an economical snack.

And also, there is no shame in serving it for any holiday. But the flower must be formed before serving so that the potatoes do not become soft.

Ingredients:

  • 1 small fresh cucumber

  • Mayonnaise

Advice! If you do not want to use mayonnaise, you can prepare a sour cream sauce by adding salt, mustard, lemon juice, and herbs. Prepare “a la dressing”. Or mix sour cream and mayonnaise in equal proportions.

The big advantage of this dish is that there is no need to boil anything except eggs. Boil the eggs for 10 minutes, from the moment they boil. I decant the hot water, fill it with cool water, cool it, and clean it.

The first layer is carrots. You can take Korean carrots or raw carrots. For this version of the dish, I use raw carrots. I chose sweet, juicy, orange.

Grate the carrots on a small grater. I place it on a nice round plate in an even layer. Lubricate with mayonnaise. You can use any mayonnaise. You can prepare it at home or purchase it.

How to make homemade mayonnaise with a blender, thick and tasty

I spread the mayonnaise with a fork, it’s more convenient for me, I distribute it over the entire surface of the carrots. You can salt the carrots, I don’t.

The next layer is smoked chicken fillet. You can eat sausage or ham. I bought smoked chicken breast and cut it into strips.

Next is the freshest cucumber. I divide this version of the dish into a winter version and a summer version, at the moment I will explain why. In the winter option I put Korean carrots and pickled cucumbers, in the 2nd option - the freshest cucumber and raw carrots.

I cut the cucumber into strips, I use one cucumber, you don’t need a lot so that juice doesn’t form. I recommend cutting rather than grating the cucumber. I grated it somehow and water formed in the bowl.

I spread the cucumber in a layer on top of the smoked chicken. And I don’t lubricate it with mayonnaise.

Parsley and dill might be appropriate here, but I don’t add them. If you have a bitter cucumber, you need to take another, bitter one, which will spoil the taste of the dish. If the skin is rough, it can be peeled off.

Next I add a layer of cheese. Now I have processed cheese. In my opinion, it tastes better with processed cheese.

In this version there can be hard cheese or processed cheese. I have an ordinary one, friendship. It needs to be rubbed.

If the processed cheese is difficult to grate, you can freeze it slightly by placing it in the freezer for an hour.

Lubricate with mayonnaise. Next is a layer of grated eggs. You need 3-4 eggs. Our task is to place them over the entire surface of the salad, it should turn out to be a slide. Cover all visible parts with grated egg.

If you are going to decorate with the yolk, like I did, separate the yolk from the white, leave the yolk, and grate the white.

By the way, you can sprinkle a layer of chips after the cheese; I usually use crushed and broken ones. When I coated the cheese with sauce, I sprinkled it with chips. Ideal with bacon, but you can use it to your own taste.

Grease the outermost layer with sauce. Now we need to create an orchid flower in the center. To do this, you need to separate the white from the yolk, mash the yolk with a fork or rub it. Place the yolk in the center.

We need to create a flower, we can create it from 4 petals, or 5. I have a flower from 5 petals. I place them centered around the yolk.

To make the flower look even brighter and more beautiful, I decorate it with parsley sprigs. But here, no matter what kind of greens may be appropriate: curly parsley, basil (greenish, purple), mint.

Greenery refreshes and adds brightness.

Advice! The salad can be prepared ahead of time, but place the flower before serving. Add greens, too, before serving, so that they do not wilt and lose their attractiveness.

I also made droplets of mayonnaise all over the surface of the snack. I took the mayonnaise in a soft package, cut off the edge, and made droplets through a tiny hole. In my opinion, it’s more attractive this way, but you don’t have to do it this way, it’s not necessary.

I would like to show you what the inside of the appetizer looks like. Very tasty, tender, juicy. Raw carrots are appropriate here; they add some piquancy to the dish.

I was preparing for the day of my daughter’s birth, we had dinner in the evening with our closest loved ones. I can say that almost all the guests tried it for the first time.
