Watermelon sorbet

You don’t have to go far to experience some unique, tasty and at the same time cooling dessert in the heat. Prepare watermelon sorbet at home using this simple recipe and enjoy it with your loved ones.

Ingredients

  • 700 grams of watermelon pulp (cleaned from rind and seeds)
  • 200 ml unstained water
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 tbsp. watery honey
  • a few drops of lemon juice

Recipe for making a dish at home

  1. Peel the watermelon from seeds and rinds, cut into pieces and grind with a blender until smooth. It is better to rub the resulting mass through a sieve.
  2. In a saucepan, combine honey with sugar and water, put on low heat and stir the syrup until the sugar is one hundred percent dissolved in it. Do not bring the mixture to a boil.
  3. Combine the cooled syrup with watermelon pulp, add lemon juice to taste and stir. Pour everything into a short but wide plastic or silicone mold, cover with a lid and place in the freezer for 6-8 hours.
  4. It is better to stir the sorbet with a spoon for any 2-3 hours so that it is shaggy. To serve, spoon watermelon sorbet into bowls using a special ice cream scoop and serve, garnished with a sprig of mint.

Light refreshing sorbet made from juicy sweet watermelon simply smells of freshness. An exceptional delicacy for the hot summer. This sorbet is very simple and easy to prepare!

Watermelon (pulp) – 700 g
Sugar – 100 g
Honey (watery) – 2 teaspoons
Water – 200 ml

Prepare the necessary products.

Combine water and sugar in a saucepan, bring to a boil, stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove the purchased syrup from the heat and cool to room temperature.

Cut the watermelon pulp into small pieces, trying to remove all existing seeds.

Using an immersion blender, beat the seeded pieces of watermelon pulp into a homogeneous mass.

Remove any foam that has formed and strain the watermelon mass using a small sieve to remove fiber particles.

Pour the cooled sweet syrup into the watermelon juice, add honey and stir.

Place the watermelon juice in a plastic container (the size of my container is 17x12 cm) and place it in the freezer. After 1-1.5 hours, start stirring the contents of the container approximately every 30 minutes.

With constant stirring, small ice chips from watermelon juice should form within 5-6 hours.
