Chocolate covered bananas; cool and very tasty dessert in 5 minutes

Chocolate covered bananas - a cool and very tasty dessert in 5 minutes

Chocolate covered bananas are such a cool and very tasty dessert that no one will be able to resist. It is prepared very quickly, which is why it can be safely served to the table right away. Children, as well as adults, will not be able to contain their own ecstasy and will practically “fight” for it.

The main principle of making such a dessert is that bananas are simply dipped in melted chocolate. What could be simpler and faster? So, by spending almost 5 minutes of time, you can create a fairly huge portion of this dessert. If chocolate covered bananas are being prepared for a special holiday, then they can be decorated in some original way. For example, until the glaze hardens, sprinkle them with decorative edible confectionery stars or any other decorative elements.

Ingredients:

  • Not overripe banana – 1 pc. (you can use them as much as necessary).
  • Homemade butter – 30 g.
  • Any kind of chocolate (bars, keys) – 50 g.

Manufacturing:

1. Very carefully remove the skin from the banana without damaging or breaking it. Cut it into pieces of uniform size.

If the banana is large, then cut it into 3 parts, if small, then into 2.

2. Place the prepared chocolate and butter in a suitable bowl.

3. Melt the chocolate and butter one hundred percent in a water bath. Although you can simply create the smallest fire and create this function on it.

4. Insert a wooden skewer into the center of any piece of banana.

5. After this, dip a piece of banana on all sides into the melted chocolate.

6. Let the chocolate harden a little.

7. Then put the dessert on a dish or put it in the most ordinary cup and serve.

Chocolate covered bananas

Hi all. Not long ago I shared with you recipes for making the “Apples in Chocolate” dessert. Now I would like to offer the equally delicious dish “Bananas in Chocolate”. This is one of my kids' favorite fruits. It’s nice that it is available at any time of the year and the cost is reasonable. In addition, it can be consumed both as a fruit and as a base for savory ice cream.

How to choose bananas?

The taste of banana and chocolate dessert depends on the right choice of bananas. They do not grow in our climate, so it is clear that they are collected from palm trees while they are still greenish. Therefore, when choosing a sunny fruit, you should pay attention to the following aspects:

  1. The shape must be streamlined, not ribbed.
  2. The skin is smooth and matte.
  3. The ripe fruit has a bright yellow skin. If it is greenish, the fruit is simply not ripe. It's easy to fix - put it in a dry place for 1-2 days and it will ripen.
  4. The presence of dark spots indicates the ripeness of the banana. But you shouldn’t buy them for future use - they require consumption on the day of purchase.
  5. If bananas have a grayish skin, then this indicates freezing and such fruits should not be eaten.

Storage rules

The temperature regime for ripe bananas varies between 7-10ºС. Unripe 10‑13 ºС. However, humidity does not have to drop to 90%. Depending on ripeness, the fruits can be stored for a month.

It is not better to store fruits in the refrigerator, as they darken very quickly there. If you have no other choice, they should be placed in a bunch separately from the rest of the goods.

Recipe for chocolate covered bananas on chocolate coated skewers

One day I decided to amuse the kids and make chocolate-covered bananas. The dessert was eaten at once. By the way, banana dessert will also appeal to adults.

  • bananas – 3-4 pcs.;
  • dark chocolate or confectionery glaze – 0.1 kg;
  • cream 10% or milk – 30-50 ml;
  • butter – 30 g;
  • decor;
  • skewers (toothpicks or sticks).

Manufacturing method:

  1. Carefully wash the bananas. Place them quickly in the freezer (for about 20 minutes) so that they are slightly frozen. Otherwise, they will stick poorly or not at all on the skewers.
  2. After time, the fruits are peeled and cut. I cut it into small pieces. You can divide one fruit into 2-3 parts.
  3. Insert skewers or sticks depending on the size of the pieces and again send them to the refrigerator for a short time.
  4. Meanwhile, melt the chocolate in a water bath. I had icing that turned into a very thick mass, so I added a knob of butter and 2 tbsp. milk so that the mixture is like non-watery sour cream. I talked about melting chocolate in detail in the article Apple Paradise in Chocolate.
  5. When the icing has cooled a little, take out the bananas and dip any piece into the chocolate mixture.
  6. Chocolate-covered bananas on a stick should be held briefly in a vertical position so that the glaze sets, and then dipped into the decor. I had coconut flakes (by the way, they mix perfectly with banana). Leave the bananas with a skewer in a glass or simply place them on a dish. At the same time, try to ensure that the pieces do not touch.
  7. When the glaze has hardened one hundred percent, the dessert is served.

Fried bananas covered in chocolate

It is often recommended to cook fried bananas. I will tell you about all the intricacies of the dish. But at the same time, I will leave my worldview. My kids were not particularly ecstatic - they were not used to such cardinal tests. I didn’t like the result for the following reasons: it’s very sweet due to the sweetness of the fruit itself, it’s fatty and the taste reminds me of dried bananas, which I haven’t adored since my youth. However, for almost everyone, chocolate and banana dessert causes ecstasy. Everyone has different tastes, so experiment.

  • bananas – 4 pcs.;
  • lemon – 1 pc.;
  • chocolate or glaze – 0.2 kg;
  • bread crumbs – a little (can be replaced with wheat flour);
  • spices (cardamom or vanillin, nutmeg, cinnamon) - to taste;
  • butter – 4 tbsp;
  • sweet powder for decoration.

  1. To prepare bananas with chocolate, the fruits should be peeled, cut off the dark ends and cut lengthwise into two halves.
  2. Wash the lemon, cut it in half and squeeze the juice from one half into a bowl.
  3. Pour breadcrumbs into a deep plate, add spices to taste and mix well.
  4. Heat a frying pan or saucepan and melt the butter in it. Almost everyone recommends using margarine. I don't recommend it. Firstly, it significantly spoils the taste of the dish. Secondly, the properties of margarine leave much to be desired, not to mention the content of harmful components in it.
  5. Roll any piece of banana in lemon juice to prevent it from darkening and fry on each side for 2-3 minutes. or until a crust forms. To get rid of excess oil, I recommend placing the bananas on a napkin for a short time or blot it with it.
  6. Melt the chocolate as I recommended above.
  7. There are three ways to use chocolate in a dish. Generously pour the already melted chocolate over the perfectly arranged bananas. Prick any piece of fruit and dip one hundred percent into watery chocolate. Finely grate and sprinkle over hot bananas. The method is not bad when there is no time or desire to deal with heating.
  8. Finally, sprinkle the fried bananas with chocolate decorations.

That's it, you can treat your guests.

Fried bananas with chocolate and ice cream

  • sugar – ½ tbsp.;
  • cream – ½ tbsp.;
  • chocolate – 0.1 kg;
  • butter - 2 tbsp;
  • ice cream – 0.2 kg;
  • milk - ½ tbsp.

  1. Thoroughly wash the bananas, peel them, and cut them lengthwise into two halves.
  2. In a container, mix sugar and butter until smooth.
  3. Dip bananas on both sides into the resulting breading and place on a grill grid that has been previously greased with oil.
  4. Fry the fruit until golden brown.
  5. Meanwhile, prepare the sauce. To do this, melt the chocolate in a water bath, pour in milk and cream and heat it well, but do not boil it.
  6. Place the fried bananas on a plate and pour over the chocolate sauce.

I hope that the proposed recipes for the “Bananas in Chocolate” dessert will help you vary your sweet table and amuse your loved ones with something delicious.

To decorate and add a special taste, the following toppings are used:

  1. crushed nuts (walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds, peanuts);
  2. sunflower seeds or sesame seeds, you can use crushed kozinaki;
  3. coconut flakes;
  4. puffed rice balls;
  5. colored confectionery powder;
  6. small decor for cakes;
  7. crushed waffles or shortbread cookies.

By adding one or a number of types of powders, you can significantly change the taste of the finished dessert. So feel free to experiment and get the latest winning combinations.

On a note! Another exciting experience will be replacing dark chocolate with snow-white chocolate. Try both options and see how the flavors change.

For snow-white chocolate, it is better to take slightly unripe bananas so that the dessert is not very sweet. If you're serving chocolate-covered bananas at a children's party, you can experiment with food coloring by adding it to the snow-white icing. Small fidgets will certainly like colorful and sweet banana-chocolate sticks.

When the image of perfect bananas has been collected, along with the necessary ingredients, you can begin production. Before the creation of sweets begins, bananas are peeled, cut in half, placed on a stick and placed in the freezer for half an hour. This will allow the skewer to firmly secure itself and make the watery chocolate harden faster and more evenly.

When the bananas' time in the refrigerator comes to an end, we begin mixing the chocolate glaze:

  • finely chop or chop the chocolate to ensure its uniform melting;
  • prepare a water bath and melt the chocolate until a homogeneous mass is formed;
  • to make it easier to apply to the banana, pour room temperature cream into the melted chocolate and mix thoroughly (at this step you can add food coloring to the snow-white chocolate);
  • remove from heat and let stand while the powder is prepared, but not longer than 5 minutes.

The chocolate is ready to be applied, take the bananas out of the freezer and you are ready to start.

The process itself is as simple as possible:

  1. take the banana by the stick and dip it in chocolate, pouring over the exposed parts from a spoon;
  2. let it harden for half a minute and make the 2nd layer;
  3. sprinkle the dessert with sprinkles;
  4. Place it vertically so as not to smear the glaze and wait for it to harden.

On a note! In order for the delicacy to be firmly attached to the stick, the banana must be dipped one hundred percent in the glaze, covering the stem a little. To do this, you can pour the glaze into a glass to quickly cover the banana with chocolate.

The finished dessert is placed in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours, after which it is ready to eat.

Here is a simple dessert that the whole family can create. Kids will be ecstatic from the process of applying chocolate and powder. Delicious!

Bake in the microwave

No time, but really want some amazing dessert? Chocolate covered bananas with marshmallows are an irresistible treat that only takes 5 minutes to make.

For one serving you will need:

  • 1 large banana;
  • 25 g milk or dark chocolate without additives;
  • 50 g of snow-white marshmallows or marshmallows.
  1. carefully wash the banana;
  2. Without removing it from the skin, we make a deep cut at 2/3 of the length;
  3. grate the chocolate and put it in a banana;
  4. Place diced marshmallows or small marshmallows on top;
  5. Place in the microwave for 3 minutes at medium power.

Dessert is ready! You need to eat it with a teaspoon straight from the peel.

Bake in the oven

If you have a little more time at your disposal, you can make a chocolate banana dessert in foil. It can simply be used for grilling over charcoal, like baked potatoes.

  • 4 bananas;
  • bar of dark or milk chocolate;
  • 40 g nuts (walnuts or hazelnuts);
  • foil.

Production begins by heating the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.

  1. carefully wash the banana, cut it crosswise into 2/3 of the length, going deep enough, but without damaging the skin on the other side;
  2. break the chocolate into small pieces and insert into the cut;
  3. add nuts to the remaining space;
  4. wrap the workpiece tightly in foil and place it on a baking sheet;
  5. set to bake for 15 minutes.

On a note! Baking bananas over coals is a delicate matter. It is not permissible to place dessert on very hot coals - it is best to place them immediately after roasting the main dish. To ensure even baking, the bananas will need to be sprinkled a little, for about 20-30 minutes.

The finished dessert has a wonderful smell and a soft, creamy consistency. It is best to eat it straight from the skin using a spoon.

Fry in a frying pan

Fried bananas with chocolate sauce can often be seen among desserts in cafes and restaurants. They are especially successful when mixed with vanilla ice cream or soft curd mass.

In order to make these chocolate covered bananas, we will need the following ingredients:

  • 4 medium bananas;
  • half a lemon;
  • 200 g dark or milk chocolate without additives;
  • 4 tbsp. spoons of butter;
  • vanillin, cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg;
  • 1 tbsp. spoon of wheat flour.

On a note! Bananas for dessert are chosen green, unripe. This is made so that the dessert is not cloyingly sweet. But for absolute sweet tooths, it is better to take ripe bananas, but elastic, without softening or darkening areas.

  1. Bananas are peeled and the ends are trimmed to 1 cm.
  2. The fruit is cut into 4 parts - one cut along, one across, exactly in the center.
  3. Squeeze the juice of half a lemon and roll the banana pieces in it.

On a note! This item does not in any way affect the taste of the finished dessert, so it can be omitted. Spraying with lemon is done to prevent browning during frying.

The finished dessert is placed on a plate and served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Making a sweet dessert

This banana-chocolate delight is perfect for entertaining. Cream bowls or ice cream makers are useful for serving.

  • 600 g banana pulp;
  • 1 liter of low-fat cream or milk;
  • 500 g sweet powder;
  • 6 chicken eggs;
  • 2 tbsp. spoons of cocoa;
  • 50 g dark chocolate without additives.

In fact, we will create homemade ice cream, tender and very tasty.

  1. Cream or milk is heated over low heat.
  2. Sweet powder is added to them, and the fire increases.
  3. The mixture is brought to a boil with constant stirring and immediately after the first bubbles it is turned off.
  4. The eggs are beaten until a thick foam forms and poured into the milk mixture.
  5. Cocoa is added there and everything is put back on the fire and brought to a boil.
  6. The mass is removed from the heat and cools to room temperature.
  7. Bananas are mashed into puree and whipped with a mixer for 4-5 minutes.
  8. The finished puree is painstakingly mixed with the cooled milk mass and whipped with a mixer.
  9. The finished mixture is placed in the freezer for 6-8 hours until completely frozen.

Using a special spoon, balls are scooped out of frozen ice cream and placed in bowls. For this dessert, it is advisable to use small grated chocolate, but if desired, you can melt it and pour over the dessert.

On a note! You can freeze the treat by pouring it into bowls ahead of time. In this case, you can use whipped cream and grated chocolate for decoration.

Any of these recipes can be changed and modernized at your own discretion, creating the newest and newest sweets for yourself and your loved ones.

Step-by-step recipe with photos

Frozen bananas covered in chocolate are a very tasty, catchy and necessary dessert. These bananas are great for a children's party, although I think adults will also enjoy this dessert. To decorate chocolate-covered bananas, in addition to confectionery sprinkles and shavings, you can additionally take chopped nuts, ground biscuit crumbs or ground waffles; in general, anything you find in your own bins will do.

If you wish, you can serve these chocolate-covered bananas simply chilled, but if you wait until they are completely frozen, then you will get a very tasty ice cream!

Let's prepare all the necessary ingredients.

So, peel the bananas and cut them into 2 parts. If you suddenly can’t find larger bananas, then take small ones and use them completely. Also, large bananas can be cut not into two parts, but into pucks; in this form, chocolate-covered bananas will be very comfortable to eat even for very small gourmands.

We take long skewers for kebabs and cut them into two parts with scissors. Place the sliced bananas on skewers. By the way, if you have the opportunity to purchase special wooden sticks for popsicles, then be sure to buy them, because bananas sit much more comfortably on such wide sticks, but in the absence of them, ordinary wooden skewers are also suitable.

Place the purchased banana “popsicles” on a freezing tray and place them in the freezer for about 5 minutes. We need them to cool slightly on top. There is no need to completely freeze them at this step.

While the bananas are cooling, prepare the glaze. Break chocolate (I used dark 56%, but you can use a mixture of dark and milk or just milk, rely on the sweetness of bananas and your own taste) into small pieces and combine with butter.

Melt the chocolate in a steam bath or in the microwave until it becomes smooth. Whatever method you choose (bathhouse or microwave), the main thing is to never overheat the chocolate, otherwise it will curdle and turn into a lumpy mass. Therefore, stir the chocolate as often as possible and check its thickness.

Pour the resulting glaze into a tall, narrow glass (I use a glass for making yogurt). If there is no suitable container, then we simply skip this step.

Now we take out the cooled bananas and quickly dip them into the glaze one by one (we don’t keep the bananas in the glaze for a long time, because then the chocolate layer will be very thick).

If you haven’t found a suitable glass for icing, then simply apply the chocolate with a spoon or brush, or completely roll the bananas in melted chocolate.

Next, we take the bananas out of the glaze and quickly (on cool bananas the chocolate quickly sets) sprinkle them with various sprinkles, or you can just roll them in them. In general, here you can safely use your imagination and decorate bananas the way you want.

We put the bananas back on the tray and put them in the freezer so that the chocolate sets one hundred percent and the bananas themselves are frozen.

That's all! Our frozen chocolate covered bananas are ready.
