Step-by-step recipe with photos

Children's soup with meatballs is the best option for a hot dish for lunch. Kids don’t particularly like to eat other soups or borscht, but almost all of them love soup with meatballs. If desired, almost everyone adds some kind of cereal or noodles or pasta to such a dish to make it more satisfying. If you decide to do the same, then take into account the cooking time of the cereal or pasta so that it does not exceed the cooking time for the potato tenderloin - 15-20 minutes. I cook in small portions, so for a larger family, increase the amount of ingredients a couple of times.

Minced meat can be of any variety: pork, beef, lamb, chicken or mixed - choose it according to your own taste. The only fundamental note is that it must be fresh and chilled. If you don’t have time to beat it, then add the white of a chicken or quail egg to it so that the workpiece does not disintegrate during cooking.

So, get the ingredients you need to make Meatball Soup for Toddlers and let's get cooking!

Peel the potatoes and wash them in water. Cut into medium cubes and place in a saucepan. Pour in warm water and place the container on the stove. Bring the liquid to a boil, skim off the foam and reduce heat to moderate. Boil for approximately 10 minutes. While the potatoes are boiling, carefully beat the minced meat. Take it in your hand and throw it into the bowl with all your might, then repeat these manipulations for about 5 minutes, at least. The air will come out of the minced meat, the minced meat will stick together and will not disintegrate during cooking.

Peel the onions and carrots and wash in water. Cut the onion into small cubes, grate the carrots on a small-mesh grater, and add to the pan. If your child is not capricious and eats both onions and carrots in soup in a relaxed manner, then you can cut the carrots in the same way as the onions. Boil for about 5 minutes.

Wet your hands in water and form rounded meatballs from the minced meat parts.

Add salt, ground dark pepper and bay leaves to the soup. Place the meatballs in it, one by one, while the dish simmers over moderate heat. Remember that heating should be moderate!

Boil the soup for 7 minutes. Then chop the washed dill and add to the pan. You can replace the dill with parsley. Simmer the dish for another 2-3 minutes and turn off the heat.

Pour the soup with meatballs into deep bowls and let it cool slightly, and then call your family to the table.

From eight months you can introduce meat dishes into your baby’s diet. These can be steamed cutlets, meatballs and soups with meatballs. They are prepared with cereals, vegetables or pasta.

Ingredients

  • 10 g of fresh dill;
  • 100 g cauliflower;
  • half a liter of filtered water;
  • quail egg;
  • small potato;
  • 100 g turkey;
  • onion;
  • small carrot.

Step-by-step recipe for meatball soup for kids

Wash the turkey fillet, dry it and cut into pieces. Pass the meat through a meat grinder a couple of times.

Beat an egg into the ground turkey. Peel and rinse the onion. Finely chop half and add to the minced meat. Knead thoroughly, beating lightly on the bowl. Make small meatballs and place on the board.

Peel the carrots and potatoes, rinse and cut into small pieces. Chop the remaining half of the onion. Rinse the cauliflower, dry it and separate it into small florets.

Place vegetables in a saucepan with bubbling water and cook over medium heat for a quarter of an hour. Boil the meatballs separately until half cooked. Add them to the soup, stir and cook for another 10 minutes. Add crushed dill a minute before the end of cooking.

Do not use store-bought minced meat to make soup. Cook it yourself, having previously soaked the meat in cool water. Add vegetables rich in dietary fiber to soup for children, which normalize the functioning of the intestinal tract.

Option 2. Frisky recipe for children's soup with meatballs

The soup according to this recipe can be prepared for babies from the age of two. The dish turns out tender and healthy, and the preparation takes very little time.

Ingredients:

  • 250 g minced beef;
  • 20 ml sunflower oil;
  • 150 g onions;
  • 100 g frozen peas;
  • 100 g boiled rice;
  • carrot;
  • one chicken egg.

How to quickly prepare children's soup with meatballs

Peel the onions. Rinse. Grate half on a large grater. Add the vegetable to the minced meat, add a little salt and stir.

Thoroughly wash the rice. Boil it until tender, following the instructions on the package. Place the cereal in a sieve and wash, stirring with a spoon. Leave so that all the liquid drains. Add rice to the minced meat and beat in the egg and knead everything with your hands, lightly beating it on a plate.

Form into meatballs no larger than a walnut. Lay them out on the board. Finely chop the remaining onion. Peel and rinse the carrots. Grind it on a medium grater.

Boil a liter of water in a saucepan. Add the meatballs, stir and cook for 5 minutes from the moment of boiling. Fry the carrots until soft. Add it to the pan and stir. After 5 minutes, add the fried onion. Add frozen peas. Cook for 10 minutes.

Prepare meatballs for children's soup from bunny, turkey, chicken or veal meat. You won't have to fry the vegetables. You can freeze the meatballs for future use. This will significantly reduce production time.

Option 3. Meatball soup for kids with semolina

The soup according to this recipe turns out tender and light. Meatballs are made from dietary bunny meat. The dish can be introduced into the baby’s diet as the first meat food.

Ingredients:

  • fresh dill;
  • 100 g bunny fillet;
  • two quail egg yolks;
  • sea salt;
  • small onion;
  • 15 g semolina.

How to cook

Wash the bunny fillet thoroughly, remove any films and cut into pieces. Grind the meat using a meat grinder or blender until minced. Peel the onion, rinse and finely chop. Add quail egg yolks and chopped onion to the minced meat. Knead thoroughly and make small balls.

Place a saucepan and a saucepan of water on the fire. When the water boils in the saucepan, add the meatballs, stir and cook for about 5 minutes. Then remove them with a slotted spoon and place them in a pan of bubbling water, where the soup will be cooked. Cook for another quarter of an hour.

While vigorously stirring with a spoon, add semolina in a narrow stream. Cook for almost two more minutes, without stopping stirring, so that lumps do not form. Add chopped dill. After a minute, remove from heat.

To ensure that the broth comes out clear, be sure to skim off the foam. To prevent the minced meat from sticking to your palms, wet your hands in water before forming the meatballs. For children, it is better to make meatballs no larger than a quail egg.

Option 4. Children's soup with meatballs and buckwheat

Children's soup with meatballs and buckwheat is a fragrant and healthy dish that your child will love. Buckwheat restores the functioning of the stomach, which is especially important for small children.

Ingredients

  • Bay leaf;
  • three potatoes;
  • one chicken breast;
  • 5 g chicken seasonings;
  • 100 g buckwheat;
  • a small bunch of dill;
  • onion head;
  • one small carrot.

Step by step recipe

Carefully sort out the buckwheat groats. Wash the cereal, changing the water at least twice. Place in a saucepan with clean water. Cook for minutes from the moment of boiling over medium heat.

Cut the skin off the carrots, wash the vegetable and chop on a medium grater. Peel the onion and rinse it. Finely chop half of the onion and cut the remaining onion into large chunks. Cut the skin off the potato. Wash under the tap and chop finely.

Place potatoes in a saucepan with buckwheat. Lightly salt. Stir and continue cooking. Heat sunflower oil in a frying pan and fry carrots and onions in it until golden brown.

Wash the chicken breast, remove the skin and cut off the membranes. Twist the meat cut into pieces in a meat grinder along with onions. It's better to repeat the function. Lightly salt the minced meat and add a little seasoning for the chicken. With wet hands, form the minced meat into small balls and place them on a plate.

Place the meatballs one at a time into the boiling water. Stir and cook for 10 minutes. Add bay leaf. After three minutes, add the roast to the soup and turn off the heat. Serve the soup with a pinch of chopped dill on the plate.

The cooking time for meatballs depends on the type of meat from which they are prepared. Semi-finished products from poultry or rabbit meat are cooked for approximately 25 minutes, from beef and pork - half an hour.

Option 5: Toddler Meatball Noodle Soup

Noodle soup with meatballs is a light and at the same time satisfying dish that is perfect for baby food. It is best to use vermicelli or homemade noodles.

Ingredients

  • half a liter of filtered water;
  • fresh dill;
  • medium potato;
  • noodles or vermicelli – 80 g;
  • small carrot;
  • quail egg;
  • veal or lean beef – 200 g;
  • onion

How to cook

Soak the beef in cool water for an hour. Then rinse well, remove tendons and films. Cut the meat into small pieces across the grain. Grind a couple of times in a meat grinder with a small mesh.

Peel and finely chop half the onion. Add chopped onion to the minced meat. Drive the egg here. Knead the minced meat well. With wet hands, make small balls and place on a plate.

Boil water in a saucepan. Place one meatball at a time, stir and cook for 5 minutes. Boil water in a separate pan. Remove the meatballs with a slotted spoon and transfer them to the pan.

Remove the skins from potatoes and carrots. Rinse the vegetables. Cut them with the remaining onion into small pieces. Add the vegetables to the pan and cook for a couple more minutes. Add pasta and cook until done. Add finely chopped dill to the soup. After a minute, remove the pan from the heat.

If the beef has fat, be sure to trim it off. It is better not to add salt to soup for babies under one year old. Vegetables in soup can be pureed.

Meatball soup for kids

Meatball soup is a real lifesaver for mothers whose babies do not eat well. Tiny cutlets in soup are so tasty and interesting. By focusing on this recipe, but varying the composition of minced meat and vegetables, you can prepare lunch for children from one and a half to two years old.

Step-by-step manufacturing recipe

The following products will be useful for this dish (per 4 liter pan, 10 servings):

  • minced meatballs – 400 g;
  • potatoes – 250-350 g;
  • onions - 2 medium heads (for meatballs and for vegetable frying);
  • carrots – 100 gr;
  • tomatoes – 200 g or a little tomato paste (heaped tablespoon);
  • bell pepper – 1 pc.

For the meatballs, mix the minced meat with the onion (cut the onion as finely as possible). You can add zucchini (on a small grater) or pumpkin. If there is a small child in the house, then it is better to choose dietary minced meat, for example, chicken.

Roll the minced meat into balls and place them on some surface. For the children's version of the soup, it is better to create small meatballs.

The special smell and beauty of the brightest colors is given to this soup by roasting vegetables. Grate the carrots on a large grater or cut into strips. Cut the onion into small cubes. Saute the vegetables over medium heat.

Add very little oil. Cut the pepper into thin strips and place in the pan with the rest of the vegetables.

When the onions become translucent and the carrots soften, add the tomatoes. To peel the tomatoes, make cross-shaped cuts on them and pour boiling water over them. The skins will simply peel off.

Cut the tomatoes into cubes and fry along with the juice. You can use tomato paste (instead of tomatoes). Dilute it slightly with water to create a sauce mixture. Simmer everything together for a couple of minutes.

Pour water into the pan and bring to a boil. Add some salt. Cut the potatoes into small pieces and add to the pan. Drop the meat balls into the boiling water one at a time. They will “set” instantly.

Add the roast to the soup. It is better to create this over the edge of the pan so that the oil and all the juices get into the pan. Cook the soup until the potatoes are completely cooked (approximately 20 minutes). The meat balls are quite small and will be ready almost instantly. When served, the finished soup will look very appetizing. The vegetables will retain their vibrant colors, and the broth will remain clear.

Indeed, meatball soup helps out. In my opinion, everyone eats it - even children who desperately hate soup. But I previously cooked it without bell pepper. I'll try it with him now.
