Fragrant and very tasty strawberry jelly with gelatin can be prepared at home. This simple and affordable recipe will make the dessert even for novice cooks – tested. Cold and refreshing strawberry jelly is a good afternoon snack for the whole family.
Strawberries for making jelly can be used in any condition, however, the amount of sugar depends on the natural sweetness of the berry. If desired, before serving, you can decorate the finished jelly with the freshest berries, whipped cream and sprigs of fresh mint (melissa).
Ingredients:
Making a dish step by step:
To make homemade strawberry jelly, we need the following ingredients: drinking water, strawberries (both fresh and frozen berries are suitable), sugar and gelatin. Determine the amount of sugar according to your own taste - the sweeter the berries, the less you need. My gelatin is not instant, but one that needs to be soaked in cool water beforehand.
Any berries are suitable for jelly - not only beautiful ones, but also wrinkled ones. We sort and wash the strawberries (300 grams). To do this, we fill a huge container with cool water, put the berries in it and let them swim for almost a minute - in this way the sand will sink to the bottom. Gently mix the strawberries with your hands, then take them out and transfer them to a colander.
When the water has drained, remove the tails.
Pour 600 ml of water into a saucepan or stewpan, add strawberries there and put on fire.
Add sweet sand (I used 100 grams because the berries are not very sweet) and cook strawberry compote. Almost a few minutes after boiling, remove the pan from the stove. Let the compote cool and brew. The berries will settle to the bottom.
At this time, soak gelatin (20 grams) in 50 milliliters of cool boiled water - let it sit for half an hour.
The gelatin will swell - it needs to be dissolved. This can be done in a water bath on the stove, but it’s even easier and faster to use the microwave. I dissolve the gelatin on the Defrost mode for about 10-15 seconds. Just don’t let it boil, otherwise the jelly won’t set.
Strain the infused strawberry compote - it is still warm. Gently squeeze the berries with your hands or a spoon.
Pour warm (one might even say hot) gelatin into the strained strawberry compote.
Mix everything - the jelly is actually ready, all you have to do is cool it in the refrigerator. For convenience, I put the preparation in a jug - this way it will be easier to pour it into molds.
Pour the strawberry compote from the gelatines into molds or vases - as you wish. Place in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours until the jelly hardens. In total, from the indicated amount of ingredients used, I get 4 servings.
The fragrant and very tasty strawberry jelly is ready - you can serve it for dessert. Cook for your health and bon appetit, friends!

Step-by-step production
Step 1:
To make this dessert, first measure out the required amount of gelatin and fill it with water.
Step 2:
Let it sit for 20 minutes so that it swells.
Step 3:
Let the strawberries sit for a while until they melt. Cut it into pieces with a sharp knife. It is convenient to cut it when it has not completely melted. Do not drain the juice, but add it to the chopped berries. Then add sugar to the chopped strawberries and put on fire. Adjust the amount of sugar to your own taste, because strawberries can be both sour and sweet. And you can do without it if you use honey or a sweetener.
Step 4:
Bring strawberries to a boil and remove from heat. There is no need to add any water, because when heated, the strawberries will release juice and there will be enough water. Add the swollen gelatin to the strawberries. Stir until it is completely dissolved. I like to leave the strawberries in pieces, but if you don’t like that, you can grind them using a blender into a homogeneous mass.
Step 5:
Pour the hot strawberry mixture into the prepared bowls and refrigerate for 1-2 hours. During this period of time, the jelly will harden and you can treat yourself. The fragrant strawberry dessert is ready! When serving, you can decorate with whipped cream. Happy strawberry fun!
