To make tender, fragrant bagels, the following ingredients will be useful:

  • wheat flour - 0.5 kg;
  • whole milk - 250 ml;
  • chicken egg - 2 pcs.;
  • sweet sand (or powder) - 100 g;
  • salt - a pinch;
  • butter - 70 g;
  • dry instant yeast - 7 g (1 tsp);
  • boiled condensed milk (for the inside) - 1 can.

So, let's get down to manufacturing. Detailed step-by-step controls will help you avoid mistakes and create a culinary masterpiece:

  • Pour the milk into a saucepan and place on the stove. When the milk is warm (about 40 °C), remove it from the heat, add the yeast and 3 tsp. sweet sand or powder. Stir thoroughly until the dry ingredients dissolve into the water. Cover the container with a lid, wrap it in a towel and leave for 20 minutes.
  • Prepare a mixture of dry ingredients: sift the flour through a sieve, add salt and the remaining sugar. Stir.
  • When the dough begins to bubble (this indicates yeast fermentation), slowly pour in the dry ingredients, stirring constantly. Add one egg and melted butter.
  • Knead a thick elastic dough, like for pies. Add more flour as needed until the dough stops sticking to your fingers.
  • Cover the finished dough with a clean cloth (A collection of different and interacting tissues form organs) and leave for 40-60 minutes. During this period of time it must double in size.
  • Divide the finished dough into several parts. Roll out each piece using a rolling pin, dusting the dough, hands, and rolling tool with flour. The thickness of the dough should not exceed 5 mm.
  • Cut the dough sheets into triangles. Place a little pre-cooked condensed milk on the wide part and wrap it so as to form a bagel. Repeat with each triangle.
  • Line the bottom of a baking tray with parchment paper. This will help prevent the dough from sticking to the iron surface. Place the bagels on a baking sheet so that there is little space between them. This is necessary so that the bagels do not stick together when the dough rises under the influence of heat.
  • Brush the products with beaten egg and place in an oven preheated to 180°C. Bake for about 20 minutes. The external indicator of readiness is the golden color of the bagels.

Tell me, is there not a lot of teaspoon of condensed milk, and is it possible to add condensed milk after baking?

  • answer

No, not at all, not much. When baked, condensed milk fills the entire bagel moderately inside. You can’t put it in after baking. It’s better to eat it with condensed milk if it’s not too much for you) Or try to put more, only then pinch the edges of the bagels well, otherwise the condensed milk may leak out.

I haven’t moved away from pate yet, it’s so simple and delicious, and here are bagels. I once made it, though with apples (I cut the apple into 8 parts and lightly sprinkled it with sand, and wrapped it up), everything else is the same. However, before this I had to create the dough ( that's a different story). Thank you very much for the reminder how great it is that there is ready-made dough in stores. And special thanks for the pate .

I bake literally the same way, only instead of condensed milk I add raisins, first steam them in hot water for 5 minutes, then wash them, squeeze them out and then add 5-8 raisins and a pinch of sugar onto the dough. It turns out delicious too.

) I love raisins, but for some reason mine are not so much. There are many internals you can create. Now you need to create it with jam)
