Recipe for making a dish at home

  1. Preheat the oven to 180/200C, lightly spray the baking dish with vegetable oil. Peel the potatoes, onions and carrots. Cut the potatoes into small cubes of the same size, grate the carrots on a large grater, and cut the onion into thin quarters.
  2. Combine potatoes, bay leaves, dark peppercorns and water in a baking dish (it should cover the potatoes almost one hundred percent), stir. Add salt, pepper and mix again, cover the pan with a lid or foil and place in a preheated oven for half an hour.
  3. Pour 2-3 tbsp into the pan. vegetable oil and put on fire. In heated oil over low heat, fry the onion until golden brown, add the carrots. Fry the vegetables over low heat until soft and golden brown, another 3-4 minutes, stirring as often as possible.
  4. Remove the pan from the heat, remove the pan from the oven, combine the stewed potatoes with the roast and stir (add a little more hot water as needed). Cover the pan with a lid or foil and place in a preheated oven.
  5. Stewed potatoes in the oven will be ready in half an hour. Remove the pan and let it cool for a couple of minutes. Remove the lid, place the stewed potatoes on plates and serve as a side dish for meat or fish dishes. Bon appetit!

Recipe for making baked potatoes in the oven:

All vegetables: potatoes, onions and carrots, peel and rinse.

Cut the potatoes into small pieces of random shape.

Place the chopped potatoes in a deep fireproof bowl. Place bay leaf, dark peppercorns or other spices there. Add enough water so that it actually covers all the potatoes. Stir and add salt. Cover with a lid and put in the oven to simmer at a temperature of 180-200 degrees.

Meanwhile, grate the carrots on a coarse grater and cut the onion into small cubes. Fry the onions and carrots in a frying pan in a small amount of vegetable oil until golden brown.

Remove the potatoes from the oven, add the fried onions and carrots to them.

Stewed potatoes with meat in the oven is a very tasty dish for weekdays, weekends or special occasions. You can use any kind of meat, taking into account your family’s preferences. I prepared this dish with veal and it turned out great. You can also place a couple of spoons of tomato sauce on top of the meat layer, which will make the taste of the dish even more striking.

Prepare all products according to the list.

Cut the veal into pieces about 2 by 2 cm.

Place the meat in a bowl and pour milk over it while you prepare the vegetables.

Cut the potatoes into cubes, place in a bowl, add salt and sprinkle with basil. You can take other seasonings, for example, herbes de Provence or oregano.

Peel the onions and carrots. Cut the onion into cubes and grate the carrots.

Place half the potatoes on the bottom of a fireproof pan and the meat on top. Sprinkle the meat with seasoning.

Place onions and carrots on top of the meat.

Then add the remaining potatoes. You can still add a little salt and pepper on top. Pour the milk that was used to pour the meat into a saucepan; you can add a little water. There should be half a saucepan of water.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and place a saucepan in it for 30 minutes, until the top of the potatoes are slightly browned. Then cover the pan with a lid or foil if there is no lid. Simmer the potatoes and meat in the oven for another 40-50 minutes, until the meat and potatoes are soft.
