Lasagna is a dish that came from Italy, but managed to gain popularity due to its functionality and extraordinary taste. In fact, this is a multi-layer dish, reminiscent of both a pie and a casserole. The distinctive feature of lasagna is the coating of sauces on all layers of dough. Now any connoisseur of Italian cuisine can prepare this dish at home - lavash lasagna is available to everyone.

There is no need to waste time kneading the dough; lavash eliminates hassle and saves time for you. All that is necessary is to cut the product into equal sheets.

Lasagna is usually considered a meat dish, but over time it began to be prepared with chicken, mushrooms, vegetables and even seafood. Only two sauces remain constant - tomato and snow-white.

Make lasagna from pita bread at home if you want to introduce the European spectrum into your family’s regular diet.

Lavash lasagna with minced meat

Here is a traditional lasagna recipe. Try to cook it according to all the rules, with the addition of two types of sauces, and you will not be disappointed.

Ingredients:

  • 3 garlic cloves;
  • salt.

Manufacturing:

  1. Chop the onion into cubes and combine with the meat. Salt and fry in a frying pan.
  2. Grind the tomatoes and garlic in a blender. Heat in a frying pan, simmer for a quarter of an hour over medium heat so that the sauce does not boil over, cover the frying pan with a lid.

This is a lighter, more dietary version of meat lasagna. The chicken mixes perfectly with the snow-white sauce and is in no way inferior to the minced meat. For full flavor, you can keep the chicken in your favorite marinade.

  3. Grate the cheese.
  4. Cut the pita bread into three equal parts.
  5. Place a layer of pita bread on a baking sheet. Coat it with white mushroom sauce. Place half of the chicken. Sprinkle with cheese.

Oven-baked lavash lasagna with minced meat: step-by-step recipe

Everyone knows that real lasagna is made from a special paste - dough plates. But now we’ll look at a recipe when instead of these plates you use... lavash. Someone may ask: for what? Well... probable options: 1) ready-made pasta is not available for sale; 2) I don’t feel like fiddling with the dough and rolling it out myself; 3) pita bread is cheaper than pasta. Everyone may have their own reason for searching for how to prepare lasagna with minced pita bread. The recipe with the photo, which you see below, will show exactly how this can be created at home. It only remains to note that we need narrow, Armenian lavash.

Lavash lasagna with minced meat in the oven: recipe with photos

Ingredients:

  • minced meat – 500g;
  • lavash – 1-2 pcs;
  • onion – 1 pc:
  • garlic – 2 cloves;
  • tomatoes in their juice – 150g (or tomato paste);
  • milk – 250ml;
  • butter – 60g;
  • vegetable oil – 1 tbsp;
  • flour - 2 tbsp;
  • Adyghe cheese (suluguni or mozzarella) – 250g;
  • salt and dark ground pepper - to taste.

Minced meat lasagna with lavash: a regular recipe at home

  1. For the dish we will need three layers of pita bread. Depending on its size and the size of the baking dish, you may need 1 or 2 pita breads. Speaking of form. Mine measures 16 cm by 24 cm. Based on these characteristics, we cut the pita bread into pieces with scissors.
  2. Finely chop the onion and garlic.
  3. Sauté them in a frying pan in heated vegetable oil.
  4. Put in the minced meat. Fry, breaking up any lumps.
  5. When it changes color and becomes lighter, add the tomato. For me these are tomatoes mashed with a fork in their juice without skin. Instead, you can add tomato paste (1 tbsp) or the freshest tomato, from which you need to remove the skin first. Stir and simmer covered for 5 minutes.
  6. Heat the butter in a thick-bottomed saucepan.
  7. Add flour and fry it until light brown.
  8. Pour 1/4 cup of milk, stir so that there are no lumps. Pour in as much more, mix well again and later pour out all the remaining milk.
  9. Reduce the fire to a minimum. Cook while constantly stirring with a whisk until thickened.
  10. Grease the bottom of the mold with a piece of butter. Place the first sheet of lavash.
  11. Spread half the minced meat.
  12. Distribute 1/3 of the snow-white sauce - bechamel - on top.
  13. Three half the cheese on a grater. Sprinkle with it.
  14. Add the second piece of pita bread and the remaining meat filling.
  15. Cover with another 1/3 of the milk sauce.
  16. Cover with the outermost sheet.
  17. Spread the bechamel over it.
  18. Cut the remaining cheese into thin slices and spread on the surface of the lasagna. Soft cheeses such as Adyghe and Suluguni can be a good substitute for mozzarella. They melt well and form a golden crust, but not crispy like hard cheese. I am soft and viscous. This will be clearly visible in the photo of the finished lasagna.
  19. Bake in an oven heated to a temperature of 180°C, just until such a crust is obtained. Because all the components of lasagna are ready-made, and lavash, unlike traditional pasta, does not require much time to soak. Therefore, the time for making lasagne from pita bread is significantly shorter.

Let the finished dish cool slightly and later cut into portions. You see, the layers are clearly visible, the lavash coped with its task with a bang.

Recipe for “Roll “A la lasagne””:

Cut the onion into half rings

Tomatoes - thin slices (it is better to remove the skin)

Finely chop the chicken meat, add salt and spices

And. let's go to the stove to fry it all =)
in one frying pan until half cooked, fry 2/3 of the onion and add tomatoes, herbs, salt, spices (I had a mixture of seasonings for chicken), leave to simmer

In a second frying pan, fry the chicken until half cooked, add the remaining onion to it, cook until the onion is ready

The tomato inside is ready. drain the resulting broth from it, we will need it later

Now we are making our bechamel sauce. melt the butter and add flour in small portions, mixing well

Then pour in milk in a narrow stream, get rid of lumps, add salt, spices and cook over low heat until it becomes like sour cream.

Let's start assembling our dish.
generously grease the baking sheet with sunflower oil, cover the pita bread, grease it with our sauce

Spread sparingly half of the vegetable insides, half of the chicken, cover with the second pita bread

We repeat the function again: sauce, vegetables, chicken, but also add mushrooms from the 1st edge (I already had them fried) and sprinkle with cheese

And a little more sauce before wrapping. You need to wrap it very carefully. Spread a little sauce on top and send it to preheated to 160-170 degrees. oven for 10 minutes

Then pour our vegetable broth on top and return to the oven for 10 minutes

This is the yummy thing I came up with.
You can eat it cool, but we don’t even heat it from the refrigerator, it seems tastier.
