I found a recipe for making puff pastry pies with meat in the oven in a cookbook in the “English Cuisine” section. She acted strictly according to the recipe, although she hesitated: what was the bread for?
I can say that the pies came out very tasty. Be sure to add bread to the minced meat!
To make pies from puff yeast dough with minced meat in the oven, we will prepare the products according to the list.
In a bowl, mix all the ingredients for the minced meat. The onion and garlic need to be finely chopped.
Defrost the puff pastry and cut into squares.
We form a “sausage” from the minced meat, place it on the edge of the square and roll it up.
Place the pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment. Lubricate with lightly beaten egg and place in the oven, which we previously preheat to 190 degrees.
Bake puff pastry pies with meat in the oven for 20-30 minutes. Find your way around your own oven!

These puff pastry pies with meat in the oven are prepared very simply, a step-by-step recipe with photos confirms this. I call them frisky or lazy because I use ready-made dough for them. How to make puff pastry pies with meat
Use minced meat from the meat you like best. It is best to make pork and beef pies, then the inside will be very juicy. Minced chicken is also suitable as the inside; it literally won’t turn out dry, so we will add a lot of onions to the meat. Remove the husks from the bulbs and finely chop the heads with a knife. Add onion to meat, sprinkle with spices. Pepper and ground garlic go perfectly with minced meat.
Puff pastry must be removed from the freezer 20-30 minutes before production begins. The layers must melt a little for them to develop plasticity. Place the dough on a board or countertop and cut it into squares. The sides of the squares should be approximately 8-10 cm.
Place the filling on any square of puff pastry, spread it moderately, but step back from the edges, they will need to be connected.
Pinch the edges on each side so that the dough does not spread. I made an ordinary pie shape and pressed the edges with a fork, and this way you can connect them in different ways. Do not press the dough too tightly; the corners may dry out during frying.
Place the puff pastries on a greased baking sheet. Mix the chicken yolk in a cup, dip a silicone brush into it for lubrication and walk through the dough. The yolk will give the baked goods a crispy and appetizing appearance.
Preheat the oven well to a temperature of 180-200 degrees. Place the baking sheet in the middle of the oven and set the timer for 15-20 minutes.
The golden brown crust on the pies will give you a hint that they are ready. Once the dough is fried, turn off the heat and take out the pies. They can be served either cool or hot.

Crafting recipe

- Peel the onion and chop it finely.
- Fry the onion a little in butter.
- Grind meat, onions and bread through a meat grinder.
- Then add the egg, pepper, salt to the minced meat and mix until smooth.
- If the minced meat is very dry, you can add a little cream or sour cream.
- Thaw the puff pastry and roll it out quite thin, but not until transparent.
- Using a glass, squeeze out circles and place the filling in the center.
- Pinch the circle on the sides, in the shape of a crescent.
- Grease a baking sheet with sunflower oil.
- Place the pies on a baking sheet and brush with any egg.
- Preheat the oven to 200° and place the baking sheet with the pies to bake for an average of 25 minutes.
